@@evilphuk Yeah, it works pretty well for what I need it for -- mostly to word vomit and grease the wheels when I run into a writer's block, so frequency depends. I usually write at my desk on my computer, but when I feel like writing outside, I reach for it more often than my iPad since I don't have to worry about battery life as much. As far as I can tell, the battery life is still as good as it was half a year ago. No problems with any of the keys. I ended up not putting stickers on them as muscle memory usually just takes over. I still forget the shortcuts sometimes, but they're easy to pick back up. Hope that covers it!
As a fellow keyboard nerd who loves writing, I can tell you it feels more similar to a membrane keyboard. It's low travel, and even quieter than the Thinkpad TrackPoint that I used as a demo in the video. I also have a Logitech MX keys mini, which also has a similar travel and sound. If you're into mechanical keyboards with full travel, this might disappoint you. But I've seen others hook up their Traveler to a mechanical keyboard for a more customized typing experience. According r/Astrohaus Reddit, I think the original Freewrite has longer travel. That might be a better option for people who really like that tactile feedback. Unfortunately, I don't have an OG Freewrite for a type test, so I can't make that distinction personally. You can join the Astrohaus Freewrite Community on FB if you'd like some more direct user feedback about the different models. It's been a busy year, so I haven't had a chance to properly collect my thoughts and film an updated review yet. But I do personally enjoy typing on my Freewrite Traveler, largely because I prefer low travel keyboards :) Thank you for watching my video!
Subscribed for updates on how you feel about it over time! This is the only YT video I can find featuring this specific edition and I'm so in love with it! Grateful for your content and can't wait to hear how it holds up :)
I have the regular Traveler and have lusted after the Ghost - it's good for my bank account that they're sold out now. Also just wanted to say I love your desk setup!
I tried to type this comment, but I had my traveler in my lap and tried to write on its keyboard. Good first impressions. Can't wait for the full review, with your atmospheric ambiance writing sessions using it.
Does the company sankyo take custom orders cause I'd really love that music box? Edit nevermind the only one I found was on ebay for a listing of 29,000. Your really lucky to have that.
Thank you, yes, I was fortunate to find this one a long time ago. Don't lose hope though -- you may still get lucky on the secondhand market one day (eBay, Yahoo! Japan, etc).
Chrono cross is my favorite jrpg it was a huge part of my childhood and the is sound track 💯👍 I enjoyed the radical dreamers edition of CC ! Radical dreamers is probably one of my favorite songs from the game for sure. even after enjoying chrono trigger a couple years ago Chrono cross is still king ! But trigger is amazing and deserves its recognition.
My Sankyo one will forever be my holy grail. In terms of musical arrangement preference though, I don’t have one. Love how unique they both are in comparison to each other.
Squaresoft partnered with Sankyo in the past to release super rare, limited edition music boxes to help promote their game series (another example is the Sankyo Orpheus Aeris Theme music box), circa the games' release dates. So the Sankyo Orpheus music boxes are 20+ years old to date. Hope that helps answer your question!
I would kill for that sankyo box. I’m really hoping that now that the remaster has been announced, another box (maybe from another company) will be made
I did not find a serial number on my Wayo music box. There were 300 units available during the original Kickstarter campaign, so there's at least 300 floating around the world right now.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I missed the Kickstarter campaign 😥 but I can still make it in time for purchasing just the music box! Your video has helped me become more certain about my purchase. Thanks and much love~
Thank you for the comparison! I'm surprised you managed to have the Sankyo version, those are very rare. I just bought the Wayo Chrono Cross music box just now!
You’re welcome. Glad you also got a Wayo one for yourself! They’re truly well made. Yes, the original release of the Sankyo Orpheus music box was limited to ~100. I was very fortunate to acquire one years ago.
9:50 Wayo Records music box playthrough starts here. Link to my Wayô Records and Sankyo Orpheus side-by-side playthrough: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4JVdbWvsxfI.html&t
Wow you're very talented. This kind of Ghibli music never failed to make me feel warm. 🧡 It's embarrassing, but I feel about to cry whenever I listen to Merry Go Round of Life from Howl Moving Castle. It's too beautiful 🧡
This is so sweet~ translating a song is not easy! Otsukare sama ✨✨ Is the scene real? I mean... the pastel light and gentle wind made it feels so nostalgic. 🍁🍁🍁
This makes me so happy. 頑張った! Thank you for watching~ The background/sky is real - I was on the rooftop in January. It was raining and cold, but so worth it for the sunset!
Idk why... but when the first time I heard your voice, this song just pop up in my mind. As expected you sounds great in this song! Plus, I can feel you sing this with your heart. But I think you'll sound even better with your present voice, because now you have a longer breath. ✨✨ Btw you also did a great job with the video! I like it! 🧡
Thank you so much for your kind compliments! This is one of my favorite songs and it brings a lot of warm memories to mind. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
Beautiful version of the song. This movie is my favorite Ghibli movie. I really think it deserves more attention! I feel so warm inside every time I watch it <3
This is so cute (yet also bittersweet)! Love your lyrics, makes me so nostalgic of watching this Ghibli film countless times...might sing this one day, I'll make sure to credit you if I do end up making a YT cover ♡
