If the guy has sent you an invoice he should be registered as a business so message him and inform him that your passing his details on to hmrc , i had a similar problem with a buyer and this worked a treat
If the buyer sent the item back & you refunded the guy, that's the end of it , you never asked the guy to clean it , so fuck him , but report it eBay , as the guy is a scammer, how about if cleaned the record & damage it
I wish Ebay would start listening to sellers more. Terrible we are unable to leave negative feedback but least we can block these ppl to save misery going forward. Ebay also need to do something about ppl who do not pay after bidding/offers
There's no obligations to pay an invoice if so everyone could send to everyone, the only place he can go is county court and without any proof of him providing such services to ypu company court will rule him out straight away also this guy should have this recorded to HMRC as he's business or solo trader plus the amount is very low for someone to even risk legal fees for the court .
If someone mowed your lawn without your permission and then knocked on the door for some money you'd tell him to get lost. This is no different; you have no contract with him so you are not obliged to pay. Ignore it, block him, and move on.
I voted, but for George Ross (Retro Reselling). He was a star during lockdown, has given us all more selling advice than all the other resellers put together, and needs the £10k (whereas N&A are constantly telling us they "have no mortgage, receive a Police pension and live frugally".
Mate, ignore the invoice. You did not agree to any work being carried out or a price in advance. There was no agreement for the work beforehand, therefore he has no legal claim. If he persists, contact police for harassment. Report to eBay. Don't loose any sleep over it. You'd have more legal success claiming he "altered" the product than he has of getting any money out of you. Imagine a random guy turning up to your house, cleans your windows without your knowledge and then knocks on the door asking for £30. You'd tell him to do one, right? Good lad. Sleep well.
Officially the most crazy thing ive seen in 25+ years of dealing records. I think its fair to say a negs incoming, just take it and wear it with pride. I'd be inclined to ignore him. I did have a situation maybe 15 years ago where this bloke from Liverpool got my number and said he was going to finish me only to email apologising the next day and proceding to spend several hundred quid more over the next few years but your man sounds nuts. Definitely bluff him, if he goes small claims court just make sure you defend it so he doesnt get a default ccj and hes got absolutely zero case. I think you have to report to ebay in the form of a written email along with screenshots and copies of communication.
I sell records on Discogs, and when I get responses like this from buyers it’s usually because they’re fishing for a partial refund, sometimes I do, but sometimes I ask them to send it back like you and you never hear anything further……but I’ve never had anything like this! It’s so comical, it’s next level bellendery! What a tool!
send the invoice back with a print out saying thank you for your invoice but im not paying it then invoice him 600 for the paper and 900 for the ink also him invoicing you his personal details is going away from ebay report for to ebay for trying to approach you away from ebay
Totally agree with Nic & Andrea. There the reason I started reselling and a started youTube channel and that has given me the confidence to get out there and do so much
I bought the KLF Record in question on its return and its perfectly fine, if he did clean it then good job but why not keep it??? Im happy with it and the album john had too. Gerrim banned brum!
This is exactly one of the reasons eBay need to give sellers back the option of negative feedback so you can warn others then they can see and if it happens to them you have a good case to get him banned
He has no evidence he ever even did it F him Report him He’s at it all the time I reckon Like parking fines Report it to ebay by PHONE not email on a Sunday when you get through to Dublin.
Aside from being against the rules to contact someone outside of ebay, it may be breaking data protection laws and is certainly classes as invoice fraud. Either ignore it or let ebay know.
R.E. Record: Firstly, the customer imposes a cleaning charge without consulting you & reporting the condition. Secondly, the invoice is self-generated & not directly attributable to any business carrying out that service. Thirdly, the charge is extortionately overpriced. Have a look feedback he has left & contact the E-Bay businesses he has transacted with. Fourthly, ewnter his name & address details in Google & see if there's any negative references to his name on record collector sites.
The crazy buyer, you have not entered into any contract with them, to clean the record, ignore them, please do not waste your brain power and precious time on them, have a look through their past feedback, others will of mentioned the buyers methods.... Even though they can only leave a positive.... But it would not surprise me, if the buyers feedback is set to private..... But fear not, the buyer has no leg to stand on.... If perhaps they accused you of selling say a pc part and it blow up their pc.... But nah they took it upon themselves to clean it.... You forefilled your end of the deal as far as ebay are concerned.... But call around 10am to ebay customer services to ensure you speak to the UK team, they will be very helpful...
@@BrumReseller definitely, the buyer needs reporting, they seem like a total tyrant, they might take a look at previous interactions with other sellers, IMHO it is exactly that type of buyer, that stops people from selling on ebay and gives ebay a bad name.
Will eBay be taking fees from the £10K.prize! Let's be honest they are greedy enough to do such a thing.... But yes Nic & Andrea for the win, always kind, honest, helpful and most of all cool, calm and collective, even during the most frustrating of times, brought on by mental asylum called eBay.
The guy chose to spend that money - nothing to do with you. He should have returned it if he wasn’t happy… he has zero legal grounding at all… definitely report him it’s extortion!!!
You didn't authorise him or ask him to clean the record, did he actually clean the record ? It is down to him that he cleaned the record not you. I would not pay anything and throw the invoice away, have you checked all his feedback as there might be comments from other sellers great video
