I knew a street savvy cat! Always looked both ways, super careful, actually had been a stray before he found his people. Very cool kitty, loved the people and their dogs but still wanted out daily. His new family went out one morning and found him flattened by one of those cars he’d been so savvy about.
Omg, I just got a cat. I wasn't ready for a pet and I'm more of a dog person, so I said we can keep her if I can name her...I looked at her & said "Katie" or "Kate". Her side-eye made me laugh😂I love people names for pets🥰Kathryn Annabelle Williams, to be precise. We can call her Kate, Katie the Kitty, Princess Kate (no relation), or use her full name when she's in trouble! My family hates it, but I didnt ask for a cat and I gotta get her health insurance, so...they're SOL😂 And MY phone number will go on her collar, dammit!
#eggs #onions Those are some of the most Jacques Pépin hashtags we've ever seen! If you're all about alliums for life, you're gonna love that James Beard onion sandwich. - CC from JPF
Cheesecake isn't not-a-cake because of the crust; it's not a cake BECAUSE it's a custard. Cake is very specifically a sweet bread product. Custard is not bread, cheesecake is not cake.
Cats step in boxes of poop! No cats on the counter! That being said, I cannot keep my cats off the kitchen table. Horrifying. It’s a good thing they’re adorable.
Nathaniel has a point! Lots of menswear is boring. If I never see another navy blue polo shirt I will be happy. That said, it's very possible to queer up a blazer/suit jacket. I have a lovely teal suit, and I love wearing it with a pretty scarf.
Figs are the apex of agriculture... 22,000 years ago, you could Break off a branch and ride a square wheeled bicycle 700 hundred links Stick it in the soil. And with no knowledge No rooting hormones A few tears, and another fig tree would grow. The exact same trees tree. Grows.... make them grow a clone... a robut Fig clone.
Thank you so much for the shout you guys! I had completely forgotten about this piece. It looks so good! Nice installation JJH team! ✨ Long Live Real Neon⚡
I think I'm a special kind of geek. I check most of the boxes - superheroes, tabletop roleplaying games, cartoons, pop culture. My one quirk? I can read the Silmarillion, yet can't get past page three of the Hobbit for some reason, let alone the other works.
You transcended a lighthearted joking about a silly marital dispute. Discovered and reflect some poignant understanding about each persons identities. Then offered some sage advice on how to navigate middle age as a couple together, … in a way te binds them closer together and does not drive them apart.
That said, you are free to return to regularly scheduled jokes and sarcasm about silly disputes that come before your bench. The balance between being wise and a wise arse.
What a fun episode. Aside from wishing I could attend any hobbit themed party, I deeply appreciate genuine and heartfelt speeches about love between friends at gimmicky parties. Been lucky enough to see it happen a couple times, and I love this outcome.
I live about a mile up the street from the IVY ROOM in Albany, CA, and I will BE THERE on the 21st to request "Start Me Up"! Also, thanks for the tip about the Chicken Pie Shop in Creektown, I gotta check that out.
Sorry, this was not only a gross episode for me (did we learn nothing from the 'Rona?!?) but also smacked of a lot of self-indulgent entitlement. Bake your own $%&@ cookies if they need to be engineered to your finicky specifications, and keep your gross paws off of everyone else's when they're sold to randos in public!
