Pretty white. There is not shrimps in the Baltic see, so they feed on white fish and they don’t get the classic color of the Atlantic salmon that feed in the North Atlantic where shrimps are abundant and their main source of food, so they get the classic orange from them. Then the orange shit from the farms come orange because they add artificial coloring to their food.

Great movie! Personally I am not conviced that catch and realese as it is practised today is the solution. I think it is better to catch and kill one or, in some rivers with good population of salmon, to fish then to catch and release four fish or more as I have often witnessed. In one occasion, in the south of Norway after having caught to salmons and stopped my fishing, satisfied for the day I witnessed a flyfisherman catching and realising one salmon after the other, eight in total! The majority of the CR fish might survive but some definitevly don t and that is really unetical, to kill a fish just for the pleasure of catching it. It also a step towards the total forbiding of salmon fishing ( towards commercial fishing based on etical grounds?.) by removing one of the justification of the catch, the consomption as (ecological) food. Also since salmon are not taking food after they return in fresh water they have no posibilities to regain strengh after the verry hard struggle of the capture and it is unknown how are they are doing when they have to compete with other salmons in breading situation... Some people will say, look at the result in rivers where CR is practised. To that I will say that you need to look at the result in some rivers where it is not the main practice, like all the rivers in the south of Norway, but where there is a bunch of other reasonnable measures in order to increase the stocks. . You can definitevelly see an improvement in these rivers, as well. We cannot be sure good result are comming from CR or from other regulations and measures. Finnelly I will say there is a form of elitysm as CR is predominantly promoted by flyfishermans, often including the forbiding of all other methods. I am aware that this a flyfishing account so you probably will not answer or maybee even delete my post, but if you don t I will apreciate your opinion on my comment.

Congrats Álvaro! Gran macho marrón y bien desafiante fue la pelea. Son momentos en los que te cuestionas si se necesita mayor grosor de tipet, mucho más teniendo en cuenta que en un arroyo rápido poco influye sacrificar presentación con un tipet 2/3x y asegurar que una piedra no haga perder la captura. Muy buena experiencia, a veces es necesario vivirla para aprender a diseñar las estrategias de lugares de pesca en función del pronóstico. Me toca siempre vivirlo en Patagonia, teniendo días lluviosos en montaña, y es cuando es necesario ir a la estepa a buscar aguas claras. Gracias por compartirlo.
Muy buena comparativa crítica, gracias por compartirla. Quizás faltó incluir los hilos híbridos o mixtos, fluorocoated, que permite disponer parcialmente lo mejor de ambos materiales (incluso el precio). Que el exterior sea fuorocarbono, otorga menor visibilidad, menor flotabilidad (objetivo para pesca a ninfa), mayor resistencia a la abrasion y rendimiento en las clavadas. Mientras que el "corazón" de nylon permite disponer de mejor flexibilidad para hacer nudos y mejora las posibiidades de romper la boca del pez en las peleas, al tener más estiramiento.

Ako si lokalac dodjes i pecas za 10€ dnevno, ostalo se snadjes sam. A sa druge strane ovo je u vrhu svjetskog fly ribolova, realno za klijentelu koja dolazi cijene nisu skupe za ovaj uzitak koji mozes doziviti na ribniku i plivi i sani.

Pues con el sentido común pescar con el hilo fino pero hasta que no te rompan todos Recuerdo en el cares xon bien de reos y solo 10 metros de diferencia entre mi compañero y yo.....yo bolo alguna picada el unos reos ....mismos hilos y moscas ya se que el indio pesca no la flecha pero .....si el dragado
Difficult to answer in a short way. We fish both SH and DH from 21 grams up to 40 something grams, from 10’ to 15’ or even longer. All depends on the water conditions, but as all rounder I would say that a 14’ 9/10 (35-40g) could be a good rod to start with.

La verdad es que da envidia ver la cantidad de agua y recurso que tienen en el norte de Europa, sin embargo, nadie está libre de lo que se nos viene y los últimos 5 años han tenido periodos muy muy secos y extremadamente calurosos por allí arriba, hasta el punto de tener que cerrar la pesca. Como has dicho, estamos bien jodidos. Saludos!

Gracias, Antonio! Bueno, el límite para el festival creo que era 9 o 10 minutos, así que hubo que dejarlo en corto pero intenso jajaja. Si impresiona su reacción en vídeo, en persona… casi acabamos llorando allí todos. Ojalá todos tuviéramos esa capacidad de emocionarnos con nuestras capturas.

Si pescas en agua y temperatura muy caliente, a veces es mejor pescar con un calcetín normal de secado rápido y las polainas sueltas, sobre todo para que no sé te recueza el pie con el calcetín de neopreno, que da mucho calor. Espero que te sirva de ayuda. Un saludo.

Buenas Jorge y muchas gracias. Si, en caso de ríos con graba, arena o piedras pequeñas, uso unas polainas de neopreno o bien hay calcetines de neopreno con polaina incorporada de marcas especializadas como Simms o Patagonia. Saludos!
Hi! It’s basically a lycra legging. I use the cheapest thinnest synthetic base layer I can find. The most important feature is fast drying, so basically synthetic thin Lycra leggings for training and other sports can do the job easily. Hope you find it useful.
Hola un saludo primero. ¿Y que colores van mejor ( en España, sierra Gredos) para final Julio principio Agosto? Mañana pienso ir pero no es río de montaña, tengo esperanzas, es río nuevo y me han dicho que aún lleva agua. No sé que montar, mi efémera verde ira, la burdeos claro tambien y el trico pelo de corzo también pero busco alguna pista para estas fechas y esa zona. No obstante miraré que hay antes de entrar al río. Saludos. PD: Paso de FCB, insta, y todo eso, xD que gane el mejor jeje.
