Hello! I’m Tomoko Kamishima, an excited traveler and avid video shooter. I’m also a dermatologist by profession. The videos here are basically video blogs that feature my experiences with Japanese places, culture, and traditions. I also visit other countries, and record my impression about them, perhaps from a Japanese perspective.

Beautiful things, traditional culture, touching scenery, and interesting buildings of historical importance-I would like to guide you to many such places through my videos. Please enjoy these ‘all things Japanese’ together with me.

By the way, when I’m traveling, I usually work on my origami projects while ‘on the move’. If you see such a woman on a plane, train, or bus doing origami, please wave and say hi!

Domo Arigatou~ Thank you for this! My mom and grandma both passed away and are from Japan. I have made my own version of an altar but this is so helpful. What is the significance of the sound instruments and what was the wooden frog one that you used at the end? I'd love to know!

Hallo, Holisticallyholly! The bell in this video is called “ rin or “o-rin”, and the frog shaped wooden one is called “mokugyo”. Both are a kind of communication tool for people in this world and being in that world. Thank you.

BUT THIS PART IS TRUE "After Yokohama Port opened, more than 2000 business people from Europe and America flooded in and started to live and work here. They were given official permission to find living and working space by the Japanese government. However, they were prohibited from going outside of a very strict set of physical boundaries, which the government had established. When they finally left Japan, they collected these photos as precious memories and beautiful records of their time in Japan, and brought them back home with them." AND THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER HAVE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS OF THE ARISTOCRACY IN JAPAN AT THAT TIME, BECAUSE NO FOREIGNERS WAS GRANTED ACCESS TO EVEN NOBILITY OR RICH MERCHANT, THEY WERE PARKED WITH THE POOREST OF THE POOR, OFTEN THE BURAKUMIN WHOM YOU MOSTLY SEE ON THOSE PHOTO AND IN THE WORST POSSIBLE AREAS. All those photos and videos do not represent Japan at that time at all. It would be like going to the worst ghetto in the US and take photos and pretend this is what America is.

THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT THE WAY WE ARE TAUGHT HISTORY IN SCHOOL HERE IN JAPAN "Commodore Matthew Perry first landed on Japanese soil in 1853, and in the following year, he succeeded in concluding the Convention of Kanagawa, which finally led Japan to open her doors to the rest of the world. " 100% WESTERN IDEA OF WHAT HAPPENED !

The remaining Aino language is a mixture of dozens of languages, including the languages of the Amur River basin drifters, the Kamchatka coastal drifters, and the Okhotsk coastal drifters, and the origin of the languages is unknown. This is also memorized in the gene, and the old gene has genes of several tribes along the continental coast, and the Jomon gene is mixed after their mixture and marriage. Here, the Japanese Jomon gene is mixed in Aino, but the Japanese Jomon are destroyed by murder and rape, and the language and culture of the Japanese Jomon have not been handed down. Aino is an ancient Ainu word, but its meaning is that it was born to a different ethnic group. Today Aino describes this as a human being. The explanation is missing. Before the extinction of the Jomon people, the words "Aino is a human being" were interpreted as "Aino is a human being born by a Jomon woman, but is an Ainoko born by rape by a different ethnic group." It is unclear what the name of this Aino was called in the dialect of Southern Hokkaido. In Vietnam, the Yomiuri Shimbun reporter estimates that Vietnamese girls were raped many times during the Vietnam War and gave birth to one million children. A maximum of 30,000 Korean soldiers, usually 20,000, gave birth to 1 million children. Most of these Dairaihan are hateful Korean soldiers, and most of them are thrown away in the sea, rivers and jungles, and nuts and other food for animals. Even so, there are tens of thousands of Dairaihan who cannot be thrown away. The Ainu are also children of the same age as Dairaihan. Just as Dairaihan is not recognized as an indigenous people of Vietnam, Aino cannot be recognized as an indigenous people of Japan.
