Hot take, i dont mind the stingtail. It adds more variety and adaptability to swarms, seeing as how the only enemies that can grab you are either stationary or biome specific, or the nemisis. I see it as a leech in the same way you have to pay attention to your surroundings while also dealing with other enemies, and if it grabs you its a free pickaxe attack to the skull and it lines you up perfetly to dump your mag into its face. Yeah its annoying but its not as big a deal as people make it out to be. Hot take over, feel free to argue in the comments if you have nothing else to do.
