Hi, I’m Terry. Welcome to my art and pen enthusiast channel. I use to draw all the time as a youngster but stopped due to school, work and other priorities. I draw mostly landscapes; my style is pretty basic and I have a lot to work on and learn. I’ve been a pen enthusiast since I was a teenager. I enjoy watching and learning from the various art channels on YT and hope to contribute in some way. Feel free to interact and share your art and pen experiences. Hi. Thank you for watching. I think Omas makes their nibs in house for the most part but sometimes work with different nibmeisters. It’s a nice gold nib on this one.
Great review of two of my favorite nibs. I have the FA nib on the 743 and 742, and the PO nib on the 912 and 743. They complement each other wonderfully, I use mine for illustration.
Hi. Yes. I love both. They are pretty much at the opposite ends of the spectrum. One is thin and hard as a nail and the other is flexi and can write fairly wide.
Hi. It is very tight for some reason. Very hard to clean. Place the nib in the bottle and using the tiny knob at the top, turn clockwise to move the piston down getting all the air out. Then turn it counterclockwise to suck the ink in. I hope this helps.
@@DLFfitness1 I would probably leave it up but I don’t think it will matter either way with this pen. I need to figure out how to disassemble this pen because it needs lubrication. Both the knob and the piston are tight on mine.
I always enjoy watching your videos. And I try not to pay too much attention to subscribers. My simple explanation for the unsubscribes is that another bot has been detected and removed from your subscriber list. Please do not take those numbers personally - most likely they are not!
Hi, Seemownay. Thank you for the encouragement. I use the RU-vid Studio app mainly to respond to comments. I’ve started going straight to the Comments tab instead of the Dashboard so I can ignore the numbers. I need to stop being so sensitive 😀 or maybe reconsider my presence here. I appreciate your support.
Hi, Samira. I just draw them and the circles by hand. I use to use templates but it’s faster this way and look just as good. I’m trying to make my videos better so we will see 😀
It’s not just you Terry. Whenever I upload a video, the first thing that usually happens is someone unsubscribes. I don’t know if it happens to other people too, but I have a feeling that it is really normal. Also, I’ve heard probably ten different people say their Omniflex nib is terrible. Thanks for the video! Did you go to a Pelikan Hub? I went for the first time and it was great!
Thanks for sharing some of your art and the video! 😊 Some nice pens as usual. Sadly my Black Sands fell on the floor and fractured the first day I inked it 😢. I look forward to your next video!
What's up Teri. I like how you had the ink gradient going on over there. Very artistic. Thanks for writing out the Walt Eversharp Doric. You know what I was thinking on that one. 🤓 So what caused you to become ambidextrous? 💜
Hi, Rob. I love making the ink doodles. I taught my self to write with my left pretty much when I started writing. Like now, I doodled and wrote a lot so my right hand would get tired. And my left hand was there with nothing to do, so I decided to use it. Drove my mother crazy. 😀
Hi! Thank you for watching and commenting. I’ve been enjoying this pen especially with the Visconti ink. I’m about to watch your new pen and stamp vid now.
Congratulations on your promotion. That is a lovely pen, the white really sets off the blue. I’m not a MB fan especially but this one is different and very nice. Lovely to see you, as always.
Cool pen - love the blue trim and the dragon. Hope you love it. Congratulations on the promotion!! My promotion pen was a Visconti homosapiens crystal dream.
Nice explanation of the differences between these three beautiful pens, but the best part for me was discovering the brilliant nib log form you are using. I found out that form is downloadable from Yoseka Stationerey, and I can then print it on my own choice of paper 🙂
Nice review, thanks. Do you know if the Hongdian convertor will fit on the Kaweco pen? I have the small convertor on my Kaweco Alsport, and it works quite well, but I would like to have just a little more ink to work with. My Kaweco nibs are a BB, which is smooth, and a B Premium, which is even smoother.
I know. I still have a love/hate relationship with Pineider. They really need to learn to dot their “i’s” and cross their “t’s”. Thanks for watching l!
First, I hope you recover from that nasty illness. Health is of paramount importance. Thank you for taking the time to show us your inked pens, wide variety!
Good to see you back, and recovering, if tired. My father and stepmother are recovering from a bout of COVID too, doing well, thougy still with a cough. Concerned about my father's heart. Thanks for introducing me to the Natami pens. Had not heard of them. I like the look. Still enjoying the pens you sent me 😊. Have you used that spoon? Thanks for persevering and offering a new video. Hope your energy level comes up soon. Blessings.
Hi, Jan. I’m still praying for your Pa. I’m doing well except for bouts of fatigue but that is my fault for not knowing how to sit down. I use both the spoon and knife on the regular. Thank you. I’m glad you like the pens!!
Ha Ha Ha.... "My Dog ate my Homework.... " ha ha ha... thats great. I love the review already and I'm only 2.21 minutes into it... Great stuff. You can't make this up! Yeah, animals will do that... ha ha ha. Wow.
@@drawinsscribblins5326 It was helpful, nice review, thank you. I'm a Pilot FP kind of guy. Looking for a gift for a friend's birthday in Sept. A 742 with a WA nib is what I've settled on. Good for novices, at least that's my take on that nib. 🙂. I'll be watching 🙂
Hi, Thomas. I sometimes crave the 149 but I find the 146 is just perfect in size for me. I hope you get one soon. I think Montblanc prefers that you use their ink in their fountain pens.
@@drawinsscribblins5326 Very reason I am considering the 146. I am a huge fan of all things Montblanc. I have a ballpoint, rollerball. mechanical pencil and the now rare document marker, a fountain pen is next.
What an awesome video! I was there at the pen show too and you are correct, it is absolutely overwhelming. So much so I almost left without buying anything. Almost. hahaha I forced myself to walk up to complete strangers and talk to them about pens. I had a bag of ink samples so that was my ice breaker. It would be cool to hang out with all the PenTubers some day. PS: your assessment of Brian Goulet is hilarious and spot on!
If your FA nib is skipping, before you upgrade to an ebonite feed. Try widening the main channel of the original feed carefully with a flat edge like a super small flat head screwdriver. Once you widen the main channel enough you'll be pleasantly surprised that your pen's performance will increase dramatically without spending any further money.
Hi. Thank you for the tip. I will give it a try. I am happy enough not to buy a new feed but if there is something I can do with my own paws, I’m all for it. Thank you!!
@Drawins&Scribblins - sorry I missed you on Saturday, but I, too, was there. Thanks for the Shout to @PensandPaint and for sharing your haul. maybe we can connect sometime this year.
Hi, Stephanie. I draw a circle really lightly. You can also use a circle template. I then use the pen and color in half the circle. The remainder is blended with a wet swab. I like doing it this way cause I can see how the ink flows in the pen and how waterproof it is.
Omg. Now I need that pen from Good Made Better!! Damn girl! I love it! 🤣"Brian Goulet is jacked! "😂 I noticed that in the last video I watched! He must have a weight lifting hobby aside from pens,!! Loved seeing your Haul. Now im goin over to IG to harrass Good Made Better. 😅
Hi, Lorelei. You will love it. I look forward to a review once you get it. I watched your Kilk/Currently Inked video yesterday. I meant to leave a comment expressing my condolences for the loss of your kitty.
Hi Terry, Glad you made it to DC. Pen Show. I was in Chicago this past week and went to Atlas Stationers in person and bought a Pelikan Limited Edition Black Tortiseshell M605 in Medium. I have been wanting that for a long time. I still want to make it to a pen show, but it was nice to make it to a store finally and I tried a few different pens in person so that was cool. Thanks for the video reviews - they are always helpful!! Hope you are well!
Hey, PenBud. I was thinking about going to Chicago for their sidewalk sale but decided against it since the DCPS was coming. Congratulations on the new Pelikan!!
