I was born in Cyprus, bought up in England and now live in Turkey. How this channel came up was as I'm always helping friends to learn Turkish, thought it was a good idea to make videos on RU-vid for them to watch in their own time at their own pace, so I made a couple of videos, then they asked me to make videos on my cooking Turkish recipes as I enjoy having friends round and having meals together, so then i was making videos to show them nothing fancy just what i cooked on a daily basis, then Turkish friends who knew what I was doing wanted to also watch but in Turkish so that they can understand so the confusion began lol,, by this time I really enjoyed making them , never planned it. as a grandmother I am always making things for my grandchildren love crafting making rag dolls, bags, masks, etc, so now I would like to do this properly and share my ideas, so I hope you can support me,

Thank you so munch Funda I really appreciate having such positive comments, it's so nice to know that people enjoy my videos and follow me, I'm no good at making perfect video's don't know how to add notes like recipe on to my video's, I'm so busy that don't get the chance to make video's as much as I'd like to, but I always get people asking fir a recipe so then I try to make video of it. Your dough should be sift, and not sticking to your hands, it's always best to add gradually until it feels right for you, trust me it always works out just right, as I've always went along with just feeling and never followed measurement, once you start to work with the dough you'll know what I mean. After you crack the olives as I'm showing, you then place them in a large bowl, cover with water, and change the water every day for 4 days, so each day change the water, rinse and fill with clean water, on the 5th day drain the water and place back into the bowl put normal table salt over them for every kilo of salt put 1 tablespoon of table salt and mix well, mix often on that day, next day, they are ready, taste if it's biter then add a bit more salt, chop up some garlic, crash up coriander seeds and mix them with the olives place them into jam jars cover with olive oil,, ant that's it they will last for couple of years when you want to eat them place into a plate add cuts lemon slices, or squeeze lemon juice and enjoy them. You would add in Luke warm water gradually until you form a dough between 2 to 3 cups of Luke warm water don't go pouring in all the water at once do it gradually as your mixing it, please don't worry if it feels to wet then add on a bit more flour if it's too dry add in water. Honestly once you make it once you'll see that there's no perfect measurements you just go by your feel enjoy while you make it as that's when you'll get the best results. Best wishes..
My grandmother used to fry the vegetables in the garden to keep the smell out of the kitchen. I always loved this dish, especially when I ate it the next day. The aubergine soaked up all the tomato juices. Thanks for the recipe!
Aww Thank you for sharing this with me, yes when ever we can we fry stuff outside especially fish to keep tge smell away, but you know what sometimes those smells gives us a lot of Happy memories 😊 Best wishes 😊
Can you after fryıng them and allowıng them to cool down then wrap them ın cling fılm and put them in the deep freeze to then take out a week or two later and serve and have you ever done this yourself ie freeze the halloumi pockets and then eat them thawed out at a later date, is there any difference in flavor???. Hi first of all Thanks for watching, yes you can freeze them , then when you take them out once thawed out you can heat them out either in a dry frying pan or in the microwave they still taste good but not as good as when you make them fresh.
