Hello Hugh! 2020 trek farley 5 size S is good size for my wife that is 170cm tall. please reply asap at your earliest convinence. I need to decide quick so i can buy it from private seller online.
The best/truest answer I've looking for..some seller's didn't care by saying "You just need to buy 10g bike, end of story." just to loose some weight...Thank you very much..
I have a 2019 Kona big honzo dL with a + and I love it. Not interested in going back to the other hard tails for trail rides. I am having a hard time with buying a full fat. I want the tire I am just having trouble with sus fork or rigid. I had not heard the salt argument. In MN they lay it on thick but for year round usability I still lean sus fork. Thanks for the info.
Yep! I have two fatties so far and love 'em to bits! People love to see them and will often want to talk about them. Heh, pointing at myself, I sometimes start the conversation with, " Fat guy, fat bike! What could be better?! 😁 " The first one I bought was all steel and weighs 42 lbs, but my favourite, now, is my all ally Calibre Dune, and only weighs 29lbs. It's just so much fun to ride! Oh, I weigh 240lbs at the moment, but I plan not to! 😉
I'm new to this type of bike and I am very interested purchasing one. This type of bike looks like the jeep of the bikes.I'm looking for a fat bike that can handle urban areas, trails, beaches and even the snow. Basically i want a bike that can take a beating. What is a good brand without breaking the bank? Are all brands of fat bikes the same height? I'm close to 6'3 how would I know what to look for ?
I am looking to purchase two fat bikes for my wife and to ride trails, no crazy 30mph downhill riding. I am leaning towards the "Framed Wolftrax 1.0", but I don't know if a fat bike will be to heavy for her, plus I have no idea what suspension travel we will need?
I decided on the FELT SURPLUS 30, as I am only about 6-7 Kilometers from the Taal Volcano (Philippines), which erupted in January 2020 and covered EVERYTHING in what can be considered a "Sandy" "Cement". I didn't want a true Fat Tire bike, and this seemed like a great size tire to get me through all the trails and even roads that would stay volcanic ash covered for months at least. The 27.5 x 2.8" tires not only get me over all the ash, dirt, and mud but over trees roots and rocks in my area. I upgraded to the XT 1x12 (10-50 tooth) and XT m8120, 4-piston brakes for climbing, and descending the steep hills around me. I also fitted mine with a 35mm stem over the 60mm stock unit to help wheelie/manual easier over obstacles. I like the FELT SURPLUS line. My bike is a great all-around bike and loads of confident fun.
what did you think of the junk hub they put on it. My reason for the question, I have a Stache 7 and I think it is the same hub, virtually no points of engagement (maybe 24). I had to replace it.
