These wheels are a nightmare to keep clean. Cleaning the hub itself is another challenge. I use a paintbrush but, honestly, it takes so long...... What are those blue covers on the spokes? Are they designed to keep moisture in so as to encourage corrosion?
I washed it like this before but my check engine light came on. It took two heat cycles for the check engine light went away. Electronics are sensitive even if you have the protection over the wires which I had -_-
Cleaning a motorcycle using water should be avoided unless you stack in the mud or something like that. Pouring water over instrument claster and switches are very bad idea. You can bet that you will experience all kind of electric problems very soon.
Not true at all. Motorcycles are designed to be ridden in the rain and come out just fine. The only cautions you need to take when washing a bike are to avoid using excessive water pressure if using a pressure washer, avoid shooting the water at unnatural angles (rain falls from top to bottom, not bottom to top) and minimize the amount of water that gets into the exhaust. Then it's just a matter of drying it to the best of your ability.

Great video I washed my motorcycle like this. I just let it seat for awhile before riding . Bikes get wet if not you couldn't ride in the rain lol. Keep up the work
That is just about the most destructive way to clean a bike. One might as well let a bunch of small kids "clean" the bike with their hands full of rubble... I have never cleaned my bikes with water, apart from 3 times in 34 years, and in those 3 incedents, I used lukewarm water sparingly on the parts I wanted to clean. Nowhere else. I use a bit of window cleaner or mucoff and a few microfiber cloths. I also use a brake cleaner for brake parts an donly sparingly and only once in a while. My bikes have never had a scratch, no swirlmarks and are always shiny and good looking. I wax them regularely. I will also never use brush to clean paint and the fairing glass as this guy does. A brush... Same procedure seen on american sportscar washers, who then "detail" the poor cars with polishing machines until the paint is so thin that there is hardly any left... Not a great idea. In fact I don't like that whole industry that have emerged using these methods as shown here in the video. Same with my cars. Never ever do what this guy does in the video, sparying chemicals all over with a pressure washer and spray off with a pressure cleaner. It may work on a big truck transporting goods between states. But never on such delicate fine mechanics and electronics such as motorcycles, cars and not even my racebicycles. Never. Ever. But each to his own of course. Kind regards
Thats so bad for the bike just use some plexi of other brand of plastic polish does the job great and way better, none of my bikes have seen water and they always Look perfect
