Nice video i have a issue with my beemer 535i 2013 this is the 3rd water pump i buyeed and still not reading the computers still giving me over hit and said error water pump still missing
Take your time. If it moves slightly thread it in and out a few times. When it moves free at that point back it out just a little further until you feel resistance then thread it back in and out. Do this in small increments. It'll come out. Don't force it.
Nice video. I just pulled a bad pump out my daughter's car. I checked the harness for voltage before pulling. Wires were sending volts at correct times. After I pulled it, I bench tested it to see if I could at least get something out of it. It's dead. I'm going to do a quick test on the new one before I install it, to make sure it works. I ordered a cheap one off Amazon and all the RU-vidrs say, it won't last. But,for less than half the cost I have to find out for myself.
From my research be sure to replace the u shaped hose between w/pump/Themo that hose shrinks and swells with the heat from block causing coolant to flow top of housing eventual contracting cover till cracking or the sealant gives between cover and unit. I suspect the rvt sealeant used is crap. but to open a unit and waterproof micro controller board and put Honda rvt on unit should last a bit longer lol Even on eBay units. Cause they all fail due to water intrusion......
Hi, I did try this and it does work. BUT!!! make sure you hold the rotating part of the motor still or you won't actually change the direction. This being said, I did reverse the direction BUT! wipers still go back to the reset position at the top, not at the bottom and will wipe downward and come back up. I'm at a complete loss as to what needs to change now.
50/50. May need to add some acetone if it sits in the dispensor for a while. It seems to evaporate. If you don't see the liquid micro bubbling on the sprayed surface I'd add acetone. Will be more pink color too, not so Tranny fluid red.
I have the same situation with an installation of a wiper motor, steering column and switches from a '98 GMC pickup. Can you confirm that switching the end cover will reverse the rotation? I didn't discover this situation until the wiper motor is basically inaccessible because of the AC components, so I would appreciate some assurance that the change will work with my generation components. Thanks, David Klinger
What is it you want to accomplish by changing directions? I have been able to change the direction the motor turns but you need to prevent the inner rotating portion from spinning in tandem with the housing because you wont change anything if you don't. My housing can only go on in 1 direction as the nuts are not at 12 O'clock and 6 O'clock, but at 11 O'clock and 7' O'clock.(if anyone reading this had difficulty understanding this, hold your hands at 10&2 on the steering wheel) Now what you will have to do in a situation like mine is rotate the housing 180 and allow the rotating part of the motor to turn with the housing, then rotate another 180 degrees and prevent the inner part from rotating OR vice versa. When I did this the rotation was changed but it did not change how the wipers wiped AT ALL. Somehow when I took everything apart to repair a jamb the "rest position" or reset position of the wipers was at the top of the swipe and not at the bottom where most wipers will reset to. Again, reversing direction DID NOT change how the wipers wipe.
Thanks for sharing your horror story with us and how it worked out in the end. I'm preparing to tackle the dreaded #4. I've been prepping with Liquid Wrench that according to some YT vids tests superior to PB (besides I can't stand the stink of PB). I have acetone on hand for cleaning aluminum welds and your video convinced me to give it a try along with the LW.
I'm not an expert on all the variations. I do know most common are 27 and 32 spline. Unfortunately I no longer have them separated to look. Maybe this will help. www.offroaddesign.com/tech/offroad-design-transmission-knowledge/offroad-design-th400-technical-information
Did the 400 4x4 trans come with 27 splines?? I found one and the guy said it has 27 splines and that it came out of 80's chevy truck. I have searched online and it says all 400s came with 32 splines and the ones with 27 are the THM375 the lesser of the 3 turbo 400s. the next was the 475 with straight cut gears. What do you think? Thank you, B
Its March 2023. I've had this product for a couple years now. Still works great. Have used it so many times. Definitely got my money out of it. From vehicles to boats, lawn mowers and ATV's...its like my cell phone. Goes everywhere with me just in case someone needs a jump.
Works great. Still using it. I changed the blue mesh filter material to a standard furnace filter, running all the fans too. The zipper for the door has been redone too. In and out too many times wore it out. I use it to sand blast. Then clean it out real good to go to paint.
Citristrip works also on tumblers. Put it in a zip lock bag, cover tumbler in a thin coat of Citristrip, seal zip lock bag, come back in an hour and it will be clean. Just put on gloves, pull out of bag, and use paper towels to wipe all the goop off of the tumbler. If you happen to have a spot or two left on the tumbler that wasn't fully covered in Citristrip, you can spot clean with 100% acetone finger nail polish remover.
Does this work on Magpul MOE furniture too? I bought some discounted bubba Mossy Oak Brush and A-TAC color Magpul hand guards that would not dye with Rite dye. I don't want to melt them either with harsh chemicals. Or if it works the same way.
I have the same problem trying to get them off some 12s they came off with medium bristle and stiff bristle brushes with a lot of elbow grease trying to find an easier way
