This is a great training video. Now it’s customary to blind fold yourself then field strip the weapon and put it back together and function check it in the dark.

Much thanks from a lefty shooter! I recommend using a super- thin philips screwdriver in conjunction with a paper clip; my paper clips alone couldn't handle the torque without breaking and I used the screwdriver to hold the block piece up while pushing the paper clip thru the hole in the button itself.
@@davesgunchannel Nope, you're mistaken. On the Glocks you don't have to pull the trigger to get them apart. That's what made me so confused that I had to watch your video to figure how to get the g3c apart.
On every Glock, the trigger needs to be in the rear-most position to get the slide off. There is only one way to get it in the rear most position and that is to press the trigger. Now, having said that, you CAN press or pull the trigger BEFORE you start the field strip process, but you still have to press the trigger. The sear must be out of the way for the firing pin lug to clear it. So, if you are saying you don’t need to press the trigger at the same time you are pulling down the slide lock, you are correct, so long as the trigger is in the rear-most position before you start.
