I've had the experience of being physically close to someone, yet they were so emotionally detached I might as well have been halfway around the world. At that level it's so much better to be alone. The young lady with the "accent" stated the question correctly at first, but then she kind of restated it a couple times and her English got confusing and it almost sounded like it was the opposite question, but it was confusing that Logan didn't hear it. Maybe it wasn't the accent, but the English construct. Anyhow, Logan sort of answered it in regard to her current concept of the maximizer where the young lady is probably trying to find someone to meet very high expectations and will never find it unless she stops searching for what meets her unmeetable criteria and starts experiencing how her dates make her feel instead.
