financial analysts are one of the critical jobs in finance, thier role is very important to evaluate the companies performane and value, they are responsible to prepare many financial models such as the 3 financial statment model, monthy cashflow model, and they are very critical to forcast the company's cash flow, financial analysts should be trained well and have talent and skill to be able to perform their duties very well, when it comes to the expeirance,they should have a good experiance in excel, international accounting stanadards, forcasting, budgeting and valuation techniques, as for the budgeting , it is very critical model and it is a framework that aims to predict the company performance by setting company's goals and targets for the future and it links directly to the company's stratgy, in terms of exel , financial analysts must have a good trainnig in excel such as equations, short keyboard, building charts and dashboards.

Because r cannot be constant year after year, thus adding to the uncertainty, doesn't it make sense to have a threshold on positive NPV given the additional uncertainty? NPV is only as good as the underlying assumptions of a project - compare that to opportunity cost of a more definitive, say a fixed deposit scheme? Yes, risk premium compensates for that, even then, I still do not understand, in general, r is simply taken as constant year after year.. In the opposite case, that is compound interest, r can be fixed because it is controlled by bank.. but here, r is highly dynamic.. how do we account for this?

Private equity sinks the target company into debt, using the money to pay themselves, and plunders all company assets, including pension funds, again to pay themselves, hence the term 'vulture fund'. Once in awhile they do turn a company around, like Bain did with Staples, but that is a rare exception, not the rule.
