Kayak, Land base and Jet Ski Fishing In Western Port and Port Phillip Bays in Melbourne Australia. Chasing Snapper Squid Whiting Gummy Sharks and Flathead. Weekly reports on INSTA & FACEBOOK
I use this same battery for my kayak missions. It runs my Lowrance Hook reveal 7 TS and my LED nite light. I’ve had both running for 8-10 hours and it’s never gone dead. I recon I’d get two trips at that easily. But I charge after every trip. 17.5amp. It’s only running my Garmin at the moment. Plenty of juice.
hey from nz , wanted to ask your opinion i have a bixpy & looking at getting a compass , can i ask since you have both does the bixpy & pedalling together increase the speed of either one separately by itself ? or does it sort of top out together & isn’t much more ? thank you
Peddling with the Bixpy definitely gives you more speed. And better tuning. Get the stern mount instead of the through hull. It assists with peddling. Makes it a lot more quick and responsive
Two to Three fish at the moment. I’ve tried as seen on the vid just pinning the plastic. And also threading the hook jig head style. You still lose the plastic eventually but it’s still way cheaper than losing a pippi every fish. Have ya had a go on them ?
Brendon Hogg. Awesome session Great gummy , but loved the ting you caught . Good size ones there mate . Looking for the weather to come good Cheers Jock
@@krakkayakkazfishing thanks mate, yeah I’ve watched it a few times 😝Hey have ya found the rod holder extensions to work well? Do they help with space around the deck? Also how do you go loading with the bixby bracket on and protecting the rudder? ( assuming the plastic loader doesn’t fit now )
Clint the Extension on the rod holders work a dream. Lifts all your rods up out the way. It gives you more leg room to move. I load my yak on from the side of the Ute. I put the front in a flexi tub bucket and lift the back on first. It’s so easy. The Bixpey bracket actually helps to grab the back of the yak to get it up there.
@@krakkayakkazfishing thanks heaps mate. Hey are you using a side loader or roof rack extension bar for loading? Or just the 2 racks on ya ute. Im currently using pvc bunks mounted to unistrut on a 6x4 trailer. It works well but would be nice to put straight on my dual cab roof. Have to get roof racks first and possibly a ladder rack 😆
For us Senior Citizens that 3/4" extra height makes it easier on your knees when you stand up. Outriggers and a stand up bar also help you keep from getting an unexpected saltwater bath.
Thanks Don. I run a double Paternoster rig first loop sits 150mm above the sinker. Next loop 400mm above that. Each loop gets a glow bead then a lumo sleeve. Bottom hook a 8/0 KLT hook. Top loop a 7/0 KLT hook. The overall length of the rig is about 1.5m as gummys will roll up your line. This is so they don’t hit the braid. I’ll show you in the next gummy Vid. Thanks for watching. 🤙
No bass in that water .. The e.p are beautiful eating out of there to mate . Score and plenty of salt and pep roll in flour and shallow fried whole on the bone . Beautiful
My last time out in Western Western Port only got two, but they were decent size. Then I put down two squid lights after the sun set and attracted a seal instead. Cute little fella and very inquisitive. Was hopping up on the back of my boat to check out the motor.
@Krakka Yakkaz Fishing I've put the cue in the rack for a while. Lol. Forecast for this weekend iz primo. Gunna have a krack at a big winter snaps. Same deal.same turf. Same plan
