This was one for Mr. Keith. The L.P. exile on main street, was a f#$&@+g classic! A double classic. Keith & Sir really came up with the answers on this record. Keith landed a studio, right there on his property, in a French villa, where him & Anita would safely do their dope, and resume their way through their rock & roll life.Others would stay there as guests, like Bobby Keys, Graham Parsons, & a few others on various occassions. That would be the last of times for Mr. Parsons. Whatever they did, worked for the record. "Exile on Main Street", was a double album. A masterpiece actually.
This is one of many examples that prove my and Alice Cooper's case, that the Stone's best work was when Mick Taylor was in the band, and yes that's Mick Taylor on bass in this particular song . Rock on!🤘

Proof positive that the Stones at their best weren't simply the world's greatest rock-n-roll band - they could also be the scariest, and most funky.

The amazing thing about this Album was how lousy the mix on most of the songs were. This was the Stones at the height of being STONED . However it works for these songs. Very few of these songs are in a perfect key. Usually tuned down a bit. NO auto tuners in those days. Probably Keith tunes his Guitar and the other string instruments tune to him. I agree there are a few clinkers here same as on Beatles White Album . However Id say this would have been a fantastic single Album with a few clinkers left off.
