I started this channel as a distraction while going thru IVF years ago. Realizing I had some vintage Reva/Kyle that wasn't on RU-vid yet, I posted the bits & pieces I'd gathered/treasured over the years. My dad would only let his then teenage daughter tape once/week in the mid-late 80's (he believed seeing a soap once/week was enough). So I resorted to hiding that the VHS timer was set for extra days (which I sometimes got away with) and racing home from the school bus to record the last 5-15 minutes. Reva drove off the FL bridge right before I left for college & when she returned in 1995, I was an adult :)
I finally had my miracle baby and then was busy raising kids. Fast forward to Christmas 2021 when I had Covid and spent the holiday in my parents' basement rewatching years of Reva & Josh on RU-vid - realizing again that I had pieces of storylines that were missing from RU-vid.
Thank you. I've been wanting to see this episode. I want to see when he tells her he loves her after Reva takes Sonny to the bridge. And who is he kidding trying to tell Reva that they need to be broken up? And Sarah believing that Reva loves Alan and not Josh is ridiculous. Do Josh and Reva find out that Alan and Sonny slept together?
This episode aired on my 17th birthday - when my dad STILL wasn't letting me record GL everyday. I'm sure he didn't imagine I'd be posting clips all these years later :)
Why their love never died it only stayed the same it couldn't get any stronger 💪 not unless you're saying you like these storylines better than you did the later years ❤?
Random note: Reva & Josh wear these same clothes from the 10/26/1988 episode when they arrive in Venezuela through this 11/11/1988 episode when they finally return to Springfield.
Thank you so much for posting this full episode. The scenes between Beverlee and Chris are spectacular. I wish they had built on this and delved more into their childhood and why they turned out the way they did.
Kim Zimmer was gorgeous but sadly she did not age well. I am very surprised that the producers etec allowed that. She put on a huge amount of weight. Her hair was red and unkept. Robert and Bradley still looked great.
Josh does sign the papers (at the end of March 1988) but I don't think the adoption was ever completed. I'll have to look back through my episode notes :)
@@Tennbelle9 ok, thank you for that info! I’m so desperately trying to find every episode I can from January 1987 - June 1989, I never got to see any of the Sonni/Josh storyline and how it was for Reva when Sonni showed up. Today I found a May 5, 1989 episode when Reva was praying in the park after Marah was kidnapped, I’ve never seen any of that storyline either😭😭😭😭 I would pay good money for every episode from November 1983 - June 1990 (I can’t watch the July Florida episodes, they make me sad
@@latraielcourtney8070 it was awful when Sonni showed up! Josh was just about to forgive/reconcile with Reva (because she wasn’t honest when she thought Marah was Kyle’s daughter) and boom arrived Sonni.
I love these videos from Kyle and Reva! About two years ago all the old Guiding Light episodes from 1985/1986 could be seen on RU-vid, but unfortunately I can't find them anymore. Does anyone have any advice on where to find them?
Josh is fighting against his feelings for Reva so hard. He says the most hurtful things to her hoping to not feel what he does. That kiss says it all, though. Jeva forever!
I remember the show in the 80’s , I do not remember this theme song.. of course I was pretty young in the 80’s being born in 77 . Did they change the theme song?
Reva is so hurt, especially when he says he is going to stay with Annie for the next nine months. Him throwing the fact that he waited for 5 years and that she married Buzz back in her face was mean, especially because he didn't wait. He should of canceled the wedding to Annie. Reva really did try to stay away from him. Thank goodness HB sent that letter.
Jennifer Gatti, the first Dinah; no way Vanessa gave birth to that! Such a breath of fresh air when Paige Turco took over, although she didnt last much longer.. TBTB reasoned they had 2 many teens on the show.
1986 to summer 1987 was an absolutely awful time for the show. Acting was solid. but the writing was terrible. Storylines just went mowhere with characters introduced only to be quickly written out (Calla, Simon, Jessie).
The first Dinah was absolutely horrendous, everything about her was just plain wrong! That's why it was such a breath of fresh air when Paige Turco took over the role; she should have lasted a lot longer!
