With the increase in price of Zwift, I might take a new look. But I doubt it would run on my laptop which I'd rather use than my PC. I do know they have a less performance based version for mobile and apple tv, but I haven't done enough research to know what's up with it
@@TheMediocreCyclist , MyWhoosh go which is the trimmed down version is basically the same as the full fat version, but has less eye candy, I run full fat on my laptop i7 Six Core Processor 10750H (2.6GHz, 5GHz Turbo),16GB Corsair 2666MHz, GTX 1650 Ti
I was on Zwft... but the new price is not acceptable , for me it is far too expensive. Since I am not interested in any social aspects of these apps, I switched to MyWhoosh and I have the impression, that others did es well.
@@TheMediocreCyclist They also have MyWhoosh Go for windows. It is less intensive and I was able to load it on my old laptop. I use it to create custom workouts because it is faster then on the Apple TV.
I had a fat bloke in a t-shirt and a backpack cycling by me.....while I'm doing a zone 4 ride....😂 I guess a Zwift killer it is not. Best thing about it was the 30 day free trial.
Yeah, it's a strange thing with the recorded footage used, it has to move at your speed, but the footage will either slow down or speed up, so you get some weird perception issues I found
I don't know, this wasn't my cup of coffee. Used to ride on Zwift, try out other apps including this MyWhoosh but I am sticking to Rouvy still. I like the high quality of the real-life routes and the navigation in the app.
I was able to run it on my phone (Samsung Galaxy A54) with no problems at all and cast to my TV. The graphics were surprisingly good. It linked to my Kickr Snap fairly well, although I had to restart it a couple of times to pair properly. Levels of resistance felt pretty similar to what I was getting previously with RGT. For what I want it for (solo rides to keep my fitness through the winter months), it's pretty much spot on.
a total waste of Arab money this MyWoosh !!! they should closed it !!! last night they were 16K dudes on Zwift,,,who rides on MyWoosh ?? only those ready to save money even on toilet paper !!!
The problem is for that money you can get a full gym membership, even after like zwifts "discount". And all these cycling apps have major issues unless you also want to buy new equipment. Many equipment stops being supported. Many don't work at all. Many don't work properly. Support is disgusting on every single 1 of these biking apps. The pool of people is minor on a lot of them. It has nothing to do with people wanting to save on toilet paper. It has everything to do with it simply being overpriced. That's why people are looking at the free options. I used to use wahoo rgt simply because it free. I for example also play football, padel and have a mini home gym. Paying a subscription while it's not your main sport is simply a waste. I much rather use that money to expand my homegym for example.
They have a long way to go to be able to be a viable cycling App. Tried it with my Stages SB20, avatar does not move, no power recognition. Tried support, but all I got is thanks for letting us know.
That sucks. Did it not show as a connected device when you start? My HR monitor had a few issues, but it tends to with lots of things like bike computers and Zwift.
I got it because its free which is a big plus i cant afford zwift it costs 3 times more than netflix and i never use jt often enough to justify . So i hope people give it a chance
I tried it last night, graphics performance was truly AWFUL. I tried switching the graphics modes - Low gave me 20 FPS but looked like an arcade game from the 1980s, Medium had lots of glitching/shadowing around my avatar, and High gave me as low as 6 FPS. This is on the same laptop which runs Zwift, RGT, and indieVelo really well. We haven't all got high-end gaming PCs in our garages.
Judging from what everyone is saying, it does seem the graphics and/or optimization is the biggest issue for many users. The graphics aren't actually that good considering the requirements. I have a hunch it's poorly implemented and you need a powerful pc to get over that hurdle
@@JustinCrediblename I only have a 1060gtx, but it shouldn't have to be an issue. The main problem is, the majority of users aren't gonna have a gaming computer for an exercise app, especially as lots might be using their turbo in the garage.
@@TheMediocreCyclist I'm not sure what a turbo is, but maybe it's about time that us fat gamers who feel like they are constantly having a mild heart attack to go onto craigslist and pick up a smart trainer. lol. Anyway, thank you for the data! I'm in the process of compiling a bunch of info about performance vs equipment and hopefully I'll be able to share that with the world once I'm done. I have three computers with different equipment, so that'll help with testing.
They don't support the Mac OS platform for now. I was told they work on it for the end of this year. This won't impact the majority of people and there is clunky work arounds, but it's keeping me from using it right now. And then I am anyway not a big fan of everything virtual but probably I will sooner or later end up with augmented reality like Rouvy or FulGaz or similar.
That's actually something I wasn't aware of in terms of the OS. Given the high spec needed, lots of people who use laptops could have a bad experience too. I did try rouvy before, it's good but there are almost too many route options to pick from.
@@TheMediocreCyclist yes, I also heard from Rouvy users that navigating all the routes is tedious. Of the same popular routes say Ventoux there is apparently huge numbers of variants in varying quality. But hey we would complain stronger if there were no choice.
I neither like BKOOL trainer nor BKOOL software. I have Bkool Smart Pro 2 trainer. That trainer already discontinued but still don't buy it. I can't login BKOOL software. I had a lot of mail traffic with them. I cannot use BKOOL software with this trainer, but I can use Zwift and Rouvy. Very interesting.
Good video brother. I think I would be out of commission for a week if I did this in one length like you, well done. Next time hopefully no cars and you can get that sub 5 minutes
Excellent effort I did the same two climbs a few weeks ago . Have you tried the one that comes up by Werneth low golf club ? You come off Mottram Old Rd onto Apple St Cock Brow and Werneth Old Rd. I think it's the steepest of them all.
