About the logo - The flower hearkens back to Luther's Rose and the message of joy and hope that it holds. The cross is the center of the justification of believers in Christ. The cross shows both God's wrath as a just judge and God's love for providing salvation. The background is a green circle signifying that Christ brings eternal life to all who believe in Him as their Savior from sin. The hand shows what we uphold in sincerity of faith. "Augsburg" refers back to one of the most basic confessions of the Lutheran church that shows the evangelical character the Lutheran Churches that still confess the faith in truth and purity.
➕"Religion began when the first scoundrel met the first fool." ➕"Only fools revere the supernatural bs just bc a book says it's the holy truth." ➕"The delusional religious fools are cocksure & the intelligent full of doubt." ➕"The religious believe by the millions what only lunatics may believe on their own." ➕"It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled." ➕"It's difficult to free the religious fools from the chains they revere."
Thankfully God is not a Calvinist but a loving Father so there is hope for all. God will judge us all but his judgement is always life through restorative punishment (kolasis). Anyone who falls into sin we are to gently but firmly restore by prayer and bearing each other's burdens. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the Sin of the World.
i believe this is FALSE TEACHING, "ALL KINDREDS", so it does not apply to the "remnant" of Israel, EVEN IF IT CAN be connected to Zechariah 12... Some will be saved IN THOSE LAST DAYS, Gentiles and "Remnant, but this is very dangerous teaching in my opinion.
UTTER NONSENSE!!!! Steven Lawson spent so much pulpit time demeaning other people by name--calling them false preachers and saying they "were never real Christians." Steven Lawson spewed holiness and righteousness on him and everyone else was a sinner. He was doing this for FIVE YEARS. A man in his 70's with a woman in her 20's. Please!!!!
hellosir please help me please my mom suffering kidney disease and I face poverty and unemployment please feel my I'm really needy I'm just humble request to you please 🙏
I feel terrible about his wife of four decades. She will never be the same. By all accounts she is a Godly woman, no doubt reassuring herself with Romans 8:28, but man ! What a hard blow! She and her children and grandchildren are who we should be praying for. Steve brought it upon himself, but the wife did nothing to deserve this.
Im not sure of which church you are apart of. You are wearing what looks like a Roman Catholic Priest collar. If indeed you are a Catholic Priest then you have no moral authority to speak on sin until you confront the evils of pedophile priest!!!
If Eternal Life is a Gift why do churches reject this? Faith Alone is through out the Bible. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be Saved. Acts 16:31kjv For the wages of sin is death, But the Gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Roman's 6:23kjv
repentance? he only confessed his sin b/c the girl's father said if Lawson didn't he would. That is not confession of sin, that is not repentance, that is being forced to turn yourself in. It's a whole different story when a person turns himself in without anyone forcing him to. It was the same as Robert Morris' in his 20s when the father of the child he molested forced him to come forward to his church elders.... he did not turn himself in.
There are details leaking here and there. Perhaps after a while more will be known, however, I don't need to know. David was outed by Nathan and truly repented. I hope that is the same for Steve.
I appreciate your graciousness, Sir! In my humble opinion Calling out each others sins and making sure we are restored with kindness is one important thing but throwing them into the den of the unbelieving world does not help in anyway. I would like to ask anyone, be it in the leadership or In the congregation who is pure to please stand up. We are under in construction and our sinful nature is always trying to resuscitate itself,. Paul said, in Rom 7:21-25 Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am ! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death.? Thanks be to God , who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ alone is our only Hope!!!!
Excellent comments from Pastor Dave! Only God alone is to be worshipped and placed on a pedestal! Lucifer wanted to usurp God and to be placed on a pedestal. Unfortunately, we human beings, are all vulnerable to idolizing anyone or anything outside of God and may not even realize that. The children of Israel made a golden calf and idolized that object in Genesis 32. Likewise, many people have made human knowledge the object of their worship. They believe in science or human knowledge or human music or art ... instead of God. Many human beings idolize another human being and make that person into a cult figure or an object of high respect, instead of God, who alone should be the center of any human being's life. We have all heard and read about cult figures like Budha or Confucius or Mohammed or Plato or Aristotle or L. Ron Hubbard... We place famous people like Dr. Albert Einstein or a great athlete like Mohammed Ali or a great leader like FDR or a great successful entrepreneur like Steven Jobs ... on a pedestal, instead of God. All of these are examples of idolatry whether we realize that or not. Even Christians can drift into idolatry. Some Christians might idolize a pastor like Dr. CI Scofield or Dr. John Macarthur or Clarence Larkin ... and regard their teachings as correct and without error. We must all be cautious and not fall into idolatry. We must guard our hearts and minds against the tendency to place anything or anyone as the center of our universe outside of the Lord Jesus Christ! This is not easy because we all have that old nature, which the Apostle Paul talks about in Romans 7, that we must continually subdue, control, and discipline on a daily basis! Paul reminds us in Romans 12:1-2: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
It's good to see someone who seems to sincerely care for the folks he's speaking to on the other side of the screen. "Feet of clay". I came to spout off, but your demeanor, however temporary it may be, has even humbled one as wicked as myself....touche'.
Steve Lawson is a proof of the devil indwellings him & he deceived himself and others, the same with believers or preachers like John MacArthur as well.
VERY well stated. As James 3:1 states “ you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness” . When we put someone on a pedestal we can be assured that sooner or later we will be disappointed. Our ultimate example ought to be Christ. Praying for genuine repentance to take place.
I completely agree with you. I think there is too much "super pastor" worship in our country. Where I disagree is in saying he had a fall into sin. These pastors are just people like you and me. Do you really think this was his first sin? Or fall from grace. Likely instead he was caught in this sin. We have to stop acting like this is some kind of lightning bolt out of the blue.
Thanks for your thoughts. On fall - I just see that as a common expression among Christians that does not describe any sort of process but merely as a serious act of willful sin that can be in some situation a rejection of God or ruin their witness etc
Most people had never heard of Lawson until a bunch of RU-vidrs decide to put their oar in. You are simply magnifying sin by addressing the issue which is, frankly, nothing to do with you.
Thanks for your thoughts. You may be right to a degree. On the other hand it was already made very public on his church website and one passion ministry page and in the news as well.
I wish there wasn't so much secrecy especially in this era of child abuse. We need a full accounting of him and those around him that should have known something
That is an interesting proposal. If there was nothing legally abusive I don't know if that would be necessary except for the sake of ministries so as to help their people with such marriage issues? I don't need to know.
@@hudsondonnell444 Jeremiah 17:10: I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
These pastors and teachers tell us all the time walk in the spirit and you will not satisfy the flesh seems to me something is wrong with their spirit they are not walking in the spirit do as I say not as I do that’s what I see
In the New Testament, no one was given the formal title "Pastor." Leadership in the early church was shared among elders, overseers, and apostles, with an emphasis on mutual service rather than hierarchy. The Greek word for "pastor" (poimen) appears only once in Ephesians 4:11, where it refers to a spiritual gift, not a formal office or title. The early church gatherings were Spirit-led, with various members contributing as they were led by the Holy Spirit, rather than being centered around a single individual in authority. When someone today calls themselves "Pastor" and assumes a dominant role, it can create an inappropriate relationship, shifting the focus away from the participatory and Spirit-led nature of the early church. This can lead to a hierarchy that diminishes the equal standing of all believers and neglects the New Testament’s model of collective, Spirit-led worship.
I liked Lawson but his sin doesn't surprise me.....I John 1:8 says we all have sin.....he just admitted his....its amazing how many self righteous haters have come out to attack him....I would be careful if I were one of those self righteous....the devil is the accuser of the brethren.....let us all remember that God's video taping our lives too.
@@bernhardbauer5301 Now I know I'm dealing with a devil...Thanks for identifying yourself....I John 1:8 "If we claim to be without sin were liars and the truth is not in us." You sir are a self righteous hypocritical liar. Many will say to Him on that day, "Lord Lord; and He will say to them plainly, Depart from Me, I never knew you!"
@@bernhardbauer5301 You are of the devil....the devil is the accuser of the brethren....you are a wicked man....just shut up .....you don't understand anything
Well said. Many thought highly of Steve Lawson. I preferred to hear MacArthur and Sproul. It’s unfortunate that he has disqualified himself from church leadership now but there are faithful pastors who will step up. May we all have a little grace to understand.
Actually, I found Lawson to be a far superior preacher, expositor, and explainer than MacArthur. I have no clue who ever let Sproul in a pulpit to preach--horrible preacher. But Lawson was so demeaning of anyone who did not agree with him. Judgemental to the highest degree and he deserves to be dragged through the mud publicly!
You pray for the man, Lawson. What about the woman he defiled? Does she not count because she is a woman, a piece of trash that is okay to abuse and defile? Obviously, your answer is ‘YES’
No one of Christian maturity idolises thier pastor or any other minister in Christendom, so for you to jump on the bandwagon with your thoughts on your great respect for this man is perhaps your issue to deal with, pastor Lawson didn't just fall over into sin, no one just falls into adultery, there's a slide before a fall and in this case it means there's been a level of deception as it appears pastor Laeson preached only last week, I'm glad he's come forward and resigned, rather than being sacked but the damage he's done to his immediate family, church family and the wider body of Christ is great I would say. There are guard rails in place for men in ministry he has obviously not practised and obviously the deceit that has been uncovered now is very sad, my heart goes out to his wife and children, such a fall from such a man is devastating ❤❤❤😢
@judithdabrow9843 A lot of people held Lawson in the same regard as MacArthur or Sproul and others seem to have seen a little arrogance or pride there. I don’t think anyone idolized Lawson but many certainly felt his teaching was on point and doctrinally sound. That’s what makes it tough for them. I suppose everyone will wonder why he didn’t reach out to the resources around him like McArthur and others as he was pulled into the relationship. It’s just very tragic for some of his followers.
Nobody falls into adultery, as you wrote. The others, RC Sproul, John McArthur, Paul Washer are Calvinists too. They reject free will. They do not preach the gospel.
@@dee9230 Most pastors have hundreds books as background. They understand a lot of commentary. However they do not know God. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The natural man may study at a bible school and becone a pastor. But he cannot become spiritual this way.

CORRECT TRANSLATION OR NO, WE ARE ALL GUESSING IF WE DO NOT CHECK WITH THE CATHOLIC FAITH'S TRANSLATION. TONS OF CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS, LOTS OF INDIVIDUALS READING THEIR BIBLES AND DECIDING TRANSLATIONS, IT'S ALL GUESS-WORK IF WE DO NOT CHECK WITH THE CATHOLIC CENTURIES-OLD EXPLANATIONS.
That doesn't make sense to me. I can read the text in light of other texts and see the answer - having said that reading the father's, reformers, and others can be helpful
Revelation refers to Spiritual Israel; not a bloodline of people located in a certain area. The time of the end began in 1798 and God establishes a Remnant church thereafter the dark ages. {John 4: 23-24 } This Remnant is a Covenant keeping people..
@@augsburgbiblechannel9246 I kindly disagree; Salvation isn't about fleshly inheritance. The Messiah wash his hands with the nation of Israel in 34 A.D. The plan of salvation moves forward and never backwards. From the outer court to the Most Holy Place. Israel of old represents the outer court; and the Messiah is currently in the Most Holy Place Cleansing the Heavenly Sanctuary. Any individual can receive the promises of God and enter into the everlasting Covenant providing they keep the Covenant. The old and new Covenant are the same; except man broke God's Covenant pre-Messiah and Jesus kept the Covenant. The Ten Precepts in Exodus is the transcript of God's Character. It's this structure along with human discipline that builds divine Character that Peter refers to as Divine Nature. I Hope This Was Helpful. God Bless My Brother
Yep. That is how I have seen it as well. It's when Israel realizes that Jesus is and was their Messiah. I also believe that Jesus will return on Rosh Hashanna and find it ironic that the Jews will unknowlingly blow the trumpet on that day (which they do every year) to announce the coming of their Messiah. God is soooooo Kool.
