She should be really proud of herself for keeping her composure up against such blatant bullying behavior from the judge and especially his lawyer. Bravo my dear. Im sorry you had to deal with this, its not fair. But Im motivated as hell for my hearing in a couple weeks. Thank you for showing up the way you did , I wonder how everything turned out.
Thank God this judge is gone. I haven’t seen a single case where she didn’t tear the mother apart. Making immediate, drastic changes to child custody. Taking a child from the parent they have always lived with and cutting off all contact with them. With little to no provable reason. Family court is supposed to be about what is best for the child- even if that means that evidence that would not normally be allowed in- is accepted. It is terrifying that a child’s future is dependant upon which judge there case is assigned. Any mother who’s case was assigned to Hughes can all but bet that they would loose everything and the child would be given to the father. There was one case where she didn’t like the mother’s disposition- she was obviously very sad and confused. Hughes used this as a reason to say she needed a psychological evaluation and supervised visitation with the child. After being primary parent. It was mind blowing and so devastating to witness.
1:44 as he’s leaving, having just been demolished by the judge, he asks the bailiff “when’s the next court date?” Sounds like he disassociated cor s minute when he realized he was going to jail for burglary, forgery and contempt of court.
