I've owned 2 artrphon products and been severely disappointed by both of them for different reasons. Orba 2 a poor app, complicated and limiting for using your own samples, sort of ho-hum sample packs on the app without many options. The instrument 1 which was the predecessor to the chorda was plagued by being tethered by a usb cord to a smartphone, had buggy app drop out issues, and the worst of all, the battery commonly failing to charge- sending the device into hibernation mode without any replacement battery being available or serviceable by artrphon. Anytime I want to even use the instrument 1, I have to crack it open, pin charge the battery, then put it back in after, put the case together again all of which will only last for about an hour of playtime. The instrument one does have a great amount of play options but how useless are those when the hardware has issues? Artiphon has novel ideas but in my experience with these two items that totaled over $500 they fail to deliver the value and support that other devices in this price range would give you, and that with the fact they are tied to a companion app the product will eventually will become obsolete once the app dies or you get a new phone.
Your app and support are the worst. Nothing intuitive about it. AT ALL. I have followed every tip, pointer and FAQ and NOTHING activates the share function. Mega Fail.
Cool idea! We have a list of feature requests, and we'll add this. In the meantime, we did add the "Select Your Scale" feature recently which heads in this direction of more customization.
So far so good until she kicked in. Full of coolness but useless. No clear instruction about that gear in Logic = Session spoiled. Due to this and the troublemaking insufficient A button, I just cancelled my order of the Chorda at A…ON.

I expected an analysis of the musical strings used, the harmonies and the hidden base notes tug at something primal within us, in order to make us cry by tricking our brains into thinking we are hearing something primally sad like a child crying through the use of sound and the gaps between sound. As many sad sounds do include that harmonised strings and lower base tones. I cannot find a single music theory study on it.

How can i delete songs or samples from Chorda device? The delete menu option is unavailable in the app (iOS). Idlike to fill the device with necessary samples only for the easy use. Never find the wanted sample kit… 😢
I just got mine today and am already loving it. This thing is just so much fun. I can;t wait to see what new features you guys are coming out with to mke this even better!
Will downloading sounds work with a Samsung android phone? I'm not sure whether to purchase the Orba or the Chorda. I don't own a laptop or desktop. Thanks for any help!
Hey there, yes, you can transfer sounds to your instrument from an Android device via USB-C. You will, however, need a computer to perform the occasional firmware update.
A wider variety of scales would make the Orba 2 more useful. Since only one scale can be loaded at a time, lots of scale options shouldn’t take up extra memory on the Orba-just more app choices.
