No one has noticed, but the Larry-"no set-up, no anything" shot, on the run, from the top of the key, came from a court-long, LEFT-HANDED pass from Danny Ainge (44). Danny is right-handed.
Yes, there are some small backs in the league that are light fire hydrant shaped and they are tough to bring down. Small, fast and low.Big lineman can miss them
Roberto Carlos was the one who scored that wild goal from the impossible angle with the outside of his foot. He was an absolute beast. I haven't watched the whole reaction yet. I have just paused it but I can imagine that we will see another of his in this video... the free kick he scored against France.
He was and still is the greatest player to ever play in my opinion. This man Zizu was in an era of the absolute greats of the game. And he stood above them all. He was ridiculous. You can have your Messi's your CR7's but they didn't come up in that era. I am not saying they wouldn't still be amazing players. I just think they wouldn't have won as many Ballon D'or trophies. Zidane, Ronaldo (Brazilan) Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Keane, Bergkamp, Overmars, Davis, Pirlo, Del Piro, Raul, etc etc etc. The list could go on and on. To me he was above them all. He made it look so simple and he was playing against the best to ever play. My GOAT
Detroit sucked and i still watched because of this man I'm pretty sure he has ever jock strap that the D got faked out of on his wall of shame fn amazing
Pelé played in all positions and in fact he was a better goalkeeper than the substitute, when the goalkeeper was injured he usually took over, if there was a football genius it was Pelé, he knew how to do everything. At that time there was no penalty if he hurt you in the match, they beat him a lot, there was a game he played with a limp.
To ponder - he did half of this he did either drunk or with a hangover roflmao. managers didnt have much patience as he wouldn't attend practices, does this magician look like he needs tae pratice?
As an Australian this is the most embarrassing game on the face of the planet. Grown men wearing kids clothes. I've seen these guys and they are so brittle and uncoordinated.
Before LeBron, before Kobe, before MJ... there was Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The NBA hit rock bottom - they didn't even play the NBA Championships on TV. Then Larry and Magic joined the league. Celtics vs Lakers. It all turned around in one year. Great battles. They finally decided to have a commercial starring Larry and Magic in French Lick IN. They were shooting the commercial then took a break for lunch. Magic was walking to his trailer and Larry came up to him and said 'Why don't you come up to the house? My mom made lunch for us.' So Magic obliged. When they sat down for lunch Larry's Mom said... 'Did you tell him?' Larry replied... 'No Mom, you tell him.' So Larry's Mom looked at Magic and said... 'You're my favorite basketball player.' Magic laughed and replied... 'Thank you Momma Bird'. Ever since they were best of friends. When Magic caught HIV, the league and players didn't want him to play. Larry was the first person to call Magic. When interviewed, Larry said 'I'll play basketball anytime with Magic.' That one sentence changed people's and the leagues mind on HIV. Later... as they were at the end of their careers and with all the injuries... they both said 'Yes' to join the first NBA team to play in the Olympics. Because both Larry and Magic said yes, MJ followed. The rest is history - THE DREAM TEAM. Best basketball I have ever seen... Larry, Magic, MJ... Celtics-Lakers... will never happen again. The league's defense is so watered-down today. Bird, Magic, and MJ would average 60 ppg in today's league.
If half the people in the world who certainly observe Mike Tyson‘s behaviour and his vocal behaviour grew up in the environment that he did in East New York, Bedford Stuyvesant Brownsville they would probably be the same if not worse it was a very very poor poverty stricken environment with prostitution Murder a lot of murder and drugs mike was the exception who made it out of that environment the life experiences he went through left an impression on his life which came out in his ring attitude and every day conduct the boxing unleashing power fuelled his anger at the expense of his experience, which exhibited And shown to the whole world what he went through as a child so rather than just judge Mike Tyson as an individual or human being maybe before that people should do research into how bad things were in the mid 70s early 80s in East New York City Crown Queens Harlem, Brooklyn let me tell you everybody it was no theme park.
They say he cant run or dunk? Im watching these highlights and hes dunking everywhere and seems to be the first guy down the court on D or O...im lost here...i think ust cuz he was great and white he had to be slow and couldnt jump...ever look at his career stats ? And he played when there was actually defense. In todays game hed average 40 10 10 and 4....easily
Physics: wide base (nearly always had wide stance to cut back) and low center of gravity (tons of leg strength) means you cannot tackle him above the waist without horse collaring which is no longer allowed. Also he was quiet, personable, but shy so did not want the publicity.
Hi, watch a Celtics game broadcasted by Johnny Most. He loved Larry Bird. 1980s, he got so excited. Watch playoffs involving Detroit and Atlanta. Make sure your sitting down.
He's my favorite boxer of all time. I was born in 1980 and have been a boxing fan since I was very young. He had a lot of power but his speed and accuracy were far more useful tools than his power. Not that it should be understated but this is a concensus that I've heard from interviews with his former opponents. He was an absolute monster and he was smaller than almost everyone he fought. GOAT!!!
Greg Inglis, Goanna crawl... Latrell Mitchell? He's pro team are called the Rabbitohs. Hence the Rabbit ears, its like a f*'k you to the coach and management.... Both Aboriginal, i love what they represent.
Penny was levels above the league in his prime. Look up T- Mac and O’Neal talking about his skill level. In fact Shaq said Penny was his ultimate teammate even over Kobe.
