Thanks for checking out my channel. I decided to make a you tube channel after some progress into setting up my own aquaponics system. I thought it would be cool to post what I have done so that others can gain another view point on setting up an aquaponics system. At the moment the channel is about my aquaponics system setup but later on I will expand it to include other gardening things, and whatever else I think would be beneficial for others.

Would have welcomed a lateral view of this Channel Catfish in a clear sided tank before it was transfered to the pond. I generally don't care for albino animals but big albino Channel Catfish are beautiful fish.
I will try this on my toilet bowl drain pipe, after silicone, flex tape didn't work, maybe this will do the trick It's barely no pressure there but somehow it's still dripping
I noted an epoxy repair on the copper water pipe in my basement when I moved in to my new house. I've been trying to make time to solder a new pipe. Five years later I have yet to make a code approved repair. Since it's still holding fine and it's in the unfinished part of my basement I will leave it alone for now. Thanks
those mats have gotten expensive since you made that video. is there a update and are you still using your system. I wish you would have shown your inside of the drum so we can get a idea what it will look like on our system.
Thanks. I have a slow leak on a drain pipe from a tub - there is access from the basement. I wanted to find a way to fix the leak without replacing the drain & pipe/s because it's in a tight awkward location. I'll get the product & try it.
If you created a mineralization chamber and/or a compost tea brewer in line with your drip tapes, you could do a drain to waste system from your hydroponics system to the drip tapes and use it to fertigate your grow beds!
Hi Friend-Thanks you for your answer now I have another question that I have 8000 gallon pond. I just bought a use Triton II model TR140 sand filter and I will convert to bead filter using Evolution Aqua K+ sink media with 120W Ultraviolet then do I need to add a mechanical filter before this biological filter or not? Thanks
You deserve more subs! This video is Really helpful and actually show what’s the problem! Most people just talk about it and expect people to know it. Going to take another look at my filter and see what I can do! Thank you so much!!!!
I had the same experience on mine, made it for a season and maybe half of the next, but the adhesive did break. I used a regular office stapler and added a TON of staples to both sides, and when the wind would blow it would bend or tear out the staples, so that wasn't ideal. I had the same idea of a handheld sewer, even found one at a thrift store, but never did get a chance to try that method. I think sewing is really the best option, when I have to redo it again I might try that from the start.
🤔 This filter is a horrible design. Keep it as is but include a lid with a pvc connection in the middle with a pvc pipe gong to the bottom with a t- connector on the bottom. That way the water starts at the bottom and if forced through all the filtration.
Best to buy a 55 gallon drum with a removable lid if that is what you want. Doing it this way will make a lid but it just sits on top. You would need the water to leave the tank before it overflows over the top.
