This movie is such an incredible piece of art. This particular scene overwhelmed me quite a bit. I was captivated by the previous audition, and was expecting to be let down by this hand-sign actress. To my suprise I got watery eyes when watching this, very powerfull.
First time flying spirit for a 2 day trip. Planning on carrying my high school kid’s school backpack. Only concern is it’s about 19-19.5 inch length. Do you think I can pass that as free personal item?
She was brilliant, every scene she was in I couldn't take my eyes off her, from the audition, to the scene in the park, the dinner at her house and of course the last scene in the play. I don't even want to know anything about the actress and other roles that she has been in, because I don't want to think of her in any other role. and she never even said one word.
@@davidsheriff9274 interestingly this movie is based on a japanese book, and the actress in an interview said that this was the role she wanted to play the most because she said she related so much to the character. And even as she was filming the movie, she thought of herself as Yoon-A and forgot her own identity.
In my honest opinion, Park Yoo Rim's performance really stole the show. I have seen great performances from deaf actors, but this one takes the top prize.
It's shameful that the Oscars didn't give one acting nom to this film. Park Yoo Rim would have been a shoo-in for Best Supporting Actress, and Touko Miura should have gotten a nom for Best Actress. They hate giving acting noms to Asians, only technical noms.
Who cares about the Oscars, Citizen Kane didn't even win best picture or best director. Everybody knows this was the best film of the year, and in my opinion, one of the best films ever made.
@@davidsheriff9274 At the end of the day, regardless of what you think about the Oscars, the awards are a vehicle to give much press and publicity to deserving actors & directors. That is why people care about who gets which noms & awards. For every Citizen Kane there are 20 films that should be as popular and highly regarded with well-paid actors, but aren't because of lack of publicity.
You disparaged the Kitty City towers? I was interested in the Indoor/Outdoor tower system surrounded in a black mesh to keep the cats in. My abandoned duo are outside cats, but the summers in the desert are brutal here so I'd like to be able to bring them inside during the worst of the heat while keeping them from destroying my fellow home owner's stuff. However, these are 10.5 - 11lb cats with long claws. Doesn't sound like the tower material would hold up?
LUGGAGE TIPS 1, 2, 3 Tie two or three colored ribbons around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it. Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, at the airport turnstile... These ribbons make your luggage different and EASY TO SPOT when the piece is surrounded by 35 other cases unloaded from the bus. Use 1” wide ribbons 14” long and not longer. Cut the ends at 45 degrees. Scissor cut trim the ribbons to cascading different lengths after they are tied. Put a drop of Super Glue at the end. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/4” the color layers will all show up no matter how they drape. Tie the 3 ribbons as a sandwich, as if they were one ribbon. Use a man’s tie, a half Windsor knot for the best look. After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5 inches from the handle. This is too short to catch on anything. Half Windsor knot tying ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S_ny-hrKqzU.html You can see this ribbon from 40 feet away. Perhaps tie TWO handles or RINGS top and side of the case. This way, it won’t slide around. This knot does not loosen. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie. Example: “Owner 454-333-7878” Choose one ribbon with an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique. Stand by the output port of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing your piece. Tie your skiies, duffel bag, backpack and what ever else with matching ribbons-even your computer case. If you are a Travel Agent, you could hot gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Send them a set of ribbons, red and blue and BLACK to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the BLACK ribbon. Put the customer’s name on it if possible. Pleasant color combinations: Red and blue Chartreuse and purple Orange and light blue Orange and yellow Gray and pink Green and yellow Red and Green Red and Gold Light blue and light green The third ribbon could be white, gray, black, tan Tip #2 Take a cell phone picture of the ribbon tied on. Then another picture of the full luggage piece. You now have a way to communicate “what it looks like” if someone is tasked with searching for it. Take this picture outside in direct sun. Tip #3 Place a strip of colored duct tape on the inside lining to your case. Put your name and phone number on this tape. If all identity is stripped from your case, you have this to show. If someone steals it and rips off identity tags, you can show the police officer the inside tape..
LUGGAGE TIP: Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it. Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look. Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile........ Use 3/4” wide ribbons about 12-14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter what. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a half Windsor knot. After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A little longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away. Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie. Choose one ribbon to have an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique. Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses. Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece. Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case. If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Then send a set of two ribbons, red and blue to your customer as a gift. UPDATE: After a month of having it out for my cats' enjoyment, they have really started to like this thing. They especially enjoy the little hanging hearts and little ear flaps on the side entrances. I even caught Biscuit taking a snooze in the center bed. The large tunnel openings really make this tunnel stand apart from others that you could buy.
@@FortunateJuice Most people don't realize how thick and unwieldly their backpack/bag material is until they force it to fit into another shape. They build them like that so it has some shape which makes it more comfortable to carry. Its a trade off, to be sure. And if it has any padding it makes it very difficult to conform into another shape. The answer: Thinner material with a sleeve in the back where you put discarded bubblewrap sheets found at grocery stores: Lots of produce uses bubblewrap sheets for protection. Check tomatoes as an example.
@@FortunateJuice sorry, I meant to say a carry-on roller bag. It's 19" but spirit only does 18". The extra inch is because of the wheels. Im not sure that it would pass. I've been past spirit once or twice with a back to wide but not one where the height is over an inch
@@as-guardianangel9360 if it has hard plastic parts like wheels, it may not fit as nicely in the measuring bin. However, if you can wear the thing like a backpack at the gate when they're scanning your ticket, they shouldn't call you out on it. Like I said, if you create the illusion that your carry on is actually a backpack, they won't say anything.
Yes I was. It's really a matter of presenting yourself at the gate as a person who does NOT have a carry on. Backpacks are great in that regard because even the bigger ones make it seem like you are carrying a free personal item.
@@FortunateJuice Thanks for the tip - I was kind of concerned that I would have to pay for the bag b/c the dimensions seem to be off 2 in re: height - but length and width are within dimensions ..
Very helpful mine isn’t a backpack but it is flexible believe I’m in pretty good shape! Thank you for uploading because I was alil nervous as well lol 👍🏾
