You could have used a luminous sensor present on the phone (its there in samsung galaxy phone not sure in other phones) & display a lx level at a particular distance. Sensor Sence is one of good app I use to check lx level of bulb
so i bought like 4 pcs, of those 2 for right hand 2 for left hand i didnt use that much now i discovered ... right hand one... battery broken left hand the secondary trigger, i mean the button isn't working properly, now i kind of clean the inside situation... and let's see tomorrow, also starting to search for the battery, let's see also i think i have "next" gen, i mean 1 gen newer than in the video. but that video gave courage to open it up and ta-daa
I can confirm, having just bought this, the interior light is next to useless in use with the door closed. No way to see if liquids are boiling etc unless you constantly open and close the door. Other than that very happy with it.
