I've been to Winchester twice this year, only about an hour by train from London and if you book a few weeks in advance it's not all that expensive. Lots of lovely historic things to see and do and a nice change of pace from London, the people in shops and museums are just so much friendlier.

Hello there. Good video, but you might like to know that what you said at 9:54 during your Levada Walk is not accurate. That "Levada" is part of a man-made irrigation system built by the early Portuguese settlers of Madeira -- an island that was completely uninhabited when Portuguese sailors came across it in the early 1400s -- so that water from the rainy north of the island could be channeled to the dryer and warmer south. In that context, it is not correct to call it a river the stream that runs alongside the trails which were originally built as part of the maintenance of the said channels. I was at herne bay during July for a 5 day holiday and it was amazing, the only downside is that (which was me any my family's faults) we got stuck at a bus stop because we missed the last bus to our hotel, twice! The first time we waited like 2 hours and the second time it was one hour. Also, we stayed at the premier inn and the service was horrible, every other room had Wi-Fi except for ours! Also, they kept forgetting to clean their room and they didn't give any toilet paper when we ran out. My brother used most of the toilet paper in one dump 🤦 otherwise, we had a good sleep. Only thing was the seagulls and the sound of c Revving cars.

This was great! How long was the walk from your hotel into town? Also do you recommend having a car or do you think you could Uber / walk to most the places?
