apparently 20-50% ppl get diarreah post surgery but docs never mentioned it....! how long before the diarreah gets better post surgery? im day 9 and alot watery diarreah still post surgery...? what did u do to help the diarreah?
My was out patient , had gallbladder plus umbilical hernia repair I was in by 8am and discharged by 2 pm. I had robotic surgery , no that much discomfort granted I was on pain meds. Only 5. Holes. Yep the gas pain was in shoulder but it seem it was next day. Hope you feel better now.
I’m having those symptoms right now and I’m already talking to my Doc that I want it remove. They checked my heart and everything good so I’m pretty sure it’s my gallbladder. Thanks for the vid! 🤙🏽
I personally know 7 people who’ve had their gallbladder out years back, and not one has colon or pancreatic issues!! Holistic doctors and other professionals in the naturopathic fields can be extremist drama queens……don’t worry so much.
Im 40 years old Obese Man and I have experienced everything exactly what you said in having attacks after eating and not able to catch your breathe. Specially after eating something with some fat in it. On Christmas eve I ate a Tamale and that sent me to the Emergency Room. I been experiencing this attacks for already exactly a year every 3-4 months ill be at the Hospital and the last time was Christmas Eve like I said.I have 2 small Gallstones. Well, im 320 lbs. And my Doctor told me I need surgery because exactly of the Complications Im developing and also, Im fearing for the Gallbladder to get Infected and I don't want to go through a much world of hurt. In 2 months she will let me know whom is going to perform surgery on me. I know they don't like Obese Patients and she told me I need to lose as much as weight as possible for the surgeon to work with my body. Im doing my best now that im anxious to even eat fearing for any Gallstone attack. I been eating just Brown Rice, Beans,Chicken with no skin, 1 egg, a 1/4 ounces of 2% milk for my coffee just to get by and i can't wait for the 2 months to pass by.. I really want this surgery, even if it cost my life ( I doubt it that I will die).. But these Gallstones attacks are terrible and they do make a person panicky.
I recently had a gallbladder attack it was Painful . They said I have to get surgery. I’m kind of nervous about it. Were u nervous about it tell me more. Are u better now
Yes I was nervous, it's normal to feel nervous. This was my first surgery and the thought of having something removed from your body permanently was scary. But I'm glad I did it because I didn't like being in pain.
8:00--thanks for sharing your experience. I am 3 month away from having mine removed due to gallstones and I puzzled as to why they delayed me so far out. Did you have any issues waiting for the surgery?
I'm in Australia, I didn't have issues as I was classed as category 1 which mean I would have my surgery within 3months. I think that was because I had a lot of stones already. Everyone's situation is different and also depends on the hospital aswell on the amount of time you have to wait.
@@thepardillos509 Thank you! I suppose that is the same with me. I am in America. The emergency department did not immediately take it, and told me to call a surgeon to schedule.
Such a good idea! I couldn't justify paying $60+ for a school frame online so im glad I found this video. I will definitely be doing this instead 😊 Thank you
8 months post surgery and my body is still adjusting to everything. I've noticed i get diarrhoea if I have dairy now. I never used to. Anything fatty doesn't get digested so I get floaties in the toilet. 😅 I love food too much so nothing stops me from eating. I just run to the toilet everytime I need to. I needed the surgery as I had way too many gallstones and if I didn't get the surgery I would have had more issues if they got stuck in the bile duct. A life threatening infection.
@@thepardillos509 yeah I’m scared to get surgery I have little stones what try to escape all the time, I’m going to see if there is other options besides surgery
Well I was told I needed surgery, I spoke to the surgeon who was supposed to do it, and decided not to have it. He told me of the risks both having it and not having it, I decided not to have it as it seems to me that we have this gall bladder for a reason, I'm no expert but i do know that it is there for a good reason and unless there is no other alternative it is better to have it than not. Before I spoke to the surgeon I had looked for an alternative, based on the idea that keeping the bladder was probably better than losing it. So I discovered there is a product that claimed to help, by reducing the cholesterol that forms in the bladder, it said would be slowly desoled by the bodies own bile. So not wanting surgery I decided to try it this is around 7 months ago now. It's not been easy as the product can cause some minor side effects, but to be honest so far I'm glad I did not have surgery, I may regret it at some stage later but if anything it feels as though it is working. After one year I will get a scan to see if the stones which were quite big have reduced in size or gone away. I no longer get any pain at all but I do need to listen to my body when it tells me to stop taking it or reduce the dosage, some times I get drained can hardly move but that is a sign I need to stop then my energy levels come back and I start again back on it. That's the way I have been using it anyway. I feel without it I would have had no choice but to have surgery. I had all the symptoms, vomiting, pain, unable to move at times, felt sick unable to go to work. Now I feel so much better, and I can still eat fatty foods but you're better off trying to have a normal diet avoiding fatty foods as much as reasonably possible but not altogether because you want your body to produce bile so that bile can devolve the cholesterol in the bladder. Or at least that is the idea. In all I can say is that since taking this stuff I have felt so much better, it is not instant it takes time in fact it takes months but considering the alternative I thought it was worth a try. I also noticed with prolonged use I get pain in my muscles, but that is an indication to rest from it I have found, I don't know if it is causing other problems to my body but so far nothing that I can say that I have noticed. So I'm glad I did not have surgery so far, the doctor expected me to be back in hospital quick but no. I don't think there is a quick fix for this problem, it is a slow solution. Surgery would be quicker but it was not for me. If you have an infection it may be your only solution.
@@thepardillos509 Yes it can be dangerous but what I don't understand is why they always go for removal of the bladder rather than removing the stones when they clearly have the ability to justice rid of the stones.
@@thepardillos509 I would think there was a way to I cert something into the bladder that helped melt the stones as they are only usually cholesterol,. Also by removing the bladder it does not address the problem of why the stones formed in the first place, I was told its to do with the liver being a problem, so wouldn't it make more sense to fix the problem with the liver and then every thing should become less of a problem as the stones would be melted away.
I haven't had my surgery yet, but my stomach hurts so bad at night, I have loose bowel movements 4-9 times a day. I am 70 yrs. old and have a bad heart (2 heart attacks) and other health issues, so not sure if a surgeon will take me up on this. I'd be willing to risk death to get rid of all of these symptoms though. Your belly looks quite beat up and sore, hope you are doing well now.
Hello so I am 15 days post op. I am having trouble with many foods. Almost everything sends me to the bathroom. Do u have any tips or a diet that seems to work best for you. I know they say to stay away from certain foods however it's hard because I have been eating like this forever any tips would be great.
I am the same! It will take a while for you to understand what foods your body can take. Apparently ox bile tablets. I haven't used them yet but I want to try. 8 months post surgery and I'm still going to the toilet many times a day.
I had my surgery 11 days before.. They put some tube in my stomach and some liquid is coming still.. I have problems in my left stomach, My shoulder still hurts due to gas problems.. My Worst part is in the morning when I wake up..
How are you now ? Make sure to take gas X or charcoal pills and even though it hurts walk enough every Day more and sleep with pillow under knees and head propped a bit
That was very interesting and a stark comparison with my experience. I had my gall bladder removed on a Tuesday morning. I was discharged from hospital at 5.00pm the same day. Had to take pain killers about 7.00 then was okay .. More pain relief before bedtime then slept until 8.30 next morning. I was a bit sore, but able to walk around without any nasty pain. First meal at 9.00am was muesli and tea. .. Constipation until Thursday but okay with urinating. Friday the pain had gone and was returning to normal and played a gig with my band on the Saturday night. .. Pretty uneventful all round compared with your experiences. Hope you're fully recovered and have got all those after affects sorted.
I'm on my 16th day after surgery and still I'm bearing a very sharp pain in my upper abdomen and where my Gallbladder was to be, (And after surgery when i was back from the nap I couldn't breathe properly and my abdomen was so much hurting till 3 days After one week when i had my sutures removed my one incision has collected Seroma inside and started leaking but fortunately it has gone after one day) Since 9th days post op it is 16th day and i can't walk properly or eat full of my meal, my stomach looks like sore, bloated and swollen and I can't lay on my sides properly coz it's hurting, and I think I'm one in 1000 people who have surgery complications. And now I'm scared to any type of surgeries.😢😢
@@nadasaad71 Thankyou dear! Now I'm fine but sometimes I feel a very mild pain where my Gallbladder was to be, but it is ok, my incisions are healed almost 80% but I think my stomach looks bigger now and my digestive system a little bit has changed. Hope everything will be fine 😊
