This was by far my favorite year for Best Original Score. Across the board it was a very strong year for scores.

Wow! The musical arrangements for all of these Academy Award Nominated Films were absolutely phenomenal! The version of 'Brokeback Mountain' was very powerful and epic as well! Itzhak Perlman is an extraordinary musical violinist and a musical genius! Very well done!!!

All the nominated scores were amazing and deserving but there is something in Brokeback Mountain’s score that just fills your heart and gets those tears rolling..Oscar win well deserved.

The best score of 2005 was King Kong, but not even was nominated. Even Narnia had better score than many of that films, but neither was nominated. Sometimes the academy has ridiculous decisions.

when i remember this like it was yesterday! he played his heart and soul on these performance pieces! i never heard 'brokeback mountain' played in its full orchestrated greatness! it sounded epic! that sent chills up and down my spine!

Memoirs of a Geisha was robbed. All of them were well deserved nominees though. Fantastic soundtracks, each and eveyr one of them. For once, the Academy got the nominees right but I can't agree with the winner. Perlman is fantastic.
