"Yes ! My Brother, I Did Forget About - D.R.I. • Dirty Rotten Imbociles • Especially, The Awesome Video From MTV's Headbanger's Ball - "Suit And Tie Guy !" And Yeah ! Man, I'd Forgotten About - "PRONG !" (Sorry About That Brother).
please stop making videos! you're not funny, or interesting and can't tell stories. there is nothing wrong with that but pleas stop doing this for your own grace. show the cd's to your grandkids or something like that. you can't even spell thrash. it has nothing to do with trash
pointless comment incoming: I've had to of seen Testament inadvertently 30 times here on the East coast because of how much they open for everyone else. I've also probably skipped about as many of their shows, too lol
Killer selections. Testament is my favorite thrash band followed closely by Slayer. Your mic sync seems off in case you haven’t noticed. Keep up the metal 🤘🏻🤘🏻
"OH ! Yes ! TESTAMENT Is My Favorite Thrash (Speed) Metal Band As Well - My Brother !" ~ (And Yes - I Do Not Know What Is Happening Or What Is Caus - ing It - But, My Audio Is Not In Sync With The Video ?)
Dude I have a Roland cube 15x and it’s a beast! I’ve played amps that are tons more expensive but none of them touch the Roland it’s insane for metal. I had that guitar but sold it because I didn’t like the pickups but I wish I still had it and would have just invested in better pickups because the look and feel of the guitar was/is really cool.
"Yeah ! Brother ! I agree with you 💯 % • The Roland Cube(s) Rule ! And Yes ! Of Course The IBANEZ GIO • GRG131DX • Is Just A Killer Guitar ! So, Yeah ! Brother, Buy Another & And Swap Out The Pick-Ups Man ! You Know !"
Exactly what I was saying. I play left handed. So why does he have a Left handed guitar and playing right handed when they have plenty of right handed guitars.
@@Roger-b5v "I Am A Left-Handed Guitar Player - However, The IBANEZ GIO GRG131DX Is Only Available As A Right - Handed Model. What Is More Is This That, For Some Unknown Reason My Camera Is 'Mirror Imaging' - Which, Simply Means That It Is Shifting My Image Of Me Playing - & - I Do Not Know The Why Or The Wherefore ? All I Know Is That It Is Happening. So, It Makes The Image Shift And Then Making To Appear As If I Am Right-Handed But, I Am Definitely Not ! Look Closely And You Will See That, I Am A Lefty Playing Upside-Down, You Know !"
"Yes ! That It Is As Far As The Model IBANEZ That, I Am Using. And Yeah ! I Am Really Partial To This Guitar. The Infinity Pick-Ups Are Amazingly Versatile For Me. Because, I Am Able To Emulate My Favorite Player's Tone(s). Such As: Criss Oliva, Tony Iommi, George Lynch, Jon Levin, And The Master Himself, RANDY RHOADS !"
This is great. Any univibe with the actual photo cell will work great for this, and hendrix. I use the Jam Pedals Univibe, but it is pricey for something I don't use all that often. Electro harmonix makes a good one for less. Also JHS has a nice one. Also Fulltone of course, Mojo Vibe, and pedal pawn, are all great. All of these have the actual photo cell inside and sound great. Thanks for showing me this. I have faked it for years but I was doing some things wrong. Appreciate ya.
"Yes ! It Is The Glarry GST - E • Left Handed Model. With some modi - fications, e.g., Wilkinson Pick - Up's & all new electronics, as well as, locking tuner's. And believe or not it is actually one my favorite guitars."
Good song for new players for sure, one of the 1st I learned, Day of the eagle is the tricky one one with the triads, hitting that G# on the low e then climbing up to those greasy triads several times fast is hard.atleast for Me, but for earth below is one I have been looking up lately.
"Thanks ! I really appreciate your comment as well as your senti - ment. And yeah, man ! For Earth Below is just absolutely amazing. Have a great one my 'Brother' and keep on jammin !'
"Thank You Very Much My Brother, I Appreciate Your Comment And Your Sentiment ! Take Care And Have A Great One ! And Lastly & Most Importantly - Keep Jammin' Brother !"
Hey check out the Winter Wonderland San Fran 1975 Black and White concert footage. Just noticed Ace taps in his solo after the song Watchin' You. It's lower down the neck near the nut end, but hey with this and the Alive II Solo it's proof Ace was tapping long before Eddie was even heard of. Long live the King 👑
I’m a right handed picker. You’re right about neck up on my left leg. When I’m sitting the guitar is hanging from my strap and when I stand up nothing changes except maybe a bit of the fretboard angle. All the above was learned way late in my struggle learning to stand up and play guitar. After I learned that, everything became way better. Nice lessons you have and I appreciate them. Thank you.
“Working Man” I’d like to learn. I like Ritchie Blackmore, he often said he didn’t like guitars with center pickups as he would dig in and hit them. I had the same problem for a few years back until I removed them or just bought two pickup guitars. I just got an amp a couple weeks made nearby in Scottsdale Arizona. Genz Benz El Diablo 60 tube amp with the 2x12 extension cabinet, it can really fill the clubhouse we have access to. Smoke on the Water will sound great in there. I can fingerpick, flatpick and use slide. It’s the late start at 58 learning guitar that has challenges, I am 63 now and really feel like I can learn faster and ear training is much better the last year. Thanks for the help with my guitar endeavours and this deep dive into Deep Purple.
👍🏻Cool channel, I’ll be checking out your lessons. The detail and presentation is perfect for where I am at right now. Your corrected mistakes give a human element to your lessons. I make a lot of ‘em right now.
"Thanks My Brother ! I really appreciate you, liking my guitar lessons and these guitar presentations. And Yes ! I have a real life tendency to leave in real time mistakes & then, correct them. Because, let's face it Brother - Everyone makes mistakes. But, many just as soon, omit them by some type of editing. No way man, not me Brother ! It's not realistic you know what I mean ? Have a great one my Brother ! And I know these lessons will help you ! OH ! YEAH !" ~
I enjoyed the video. May I suggest that you learn some music theory. It will open doors for you. Not knowing could be holding you back. Myself I have to know what I'm playing and why it sounds good. Then I can use that info later to come up with my own material. Nice playing.
"I am NOT interested in Music Theory At All ! For two very significant reasons and the first is because, back in 2002, I had called The Classical Guitar Conservatory At Baldwin Wallace College, here in OH. And I had spoken with the department head of The Classical Guitar Con - servatory in fact. I had called due to the fact that, I had - had a very poignant question. Which, essentially was regarding a book that, I had at the time written and transcribed by a Polish Composer. And what, I wanted to do was find out if I was to have someone transcribe all of the pages from 'Standard Notation' - ( e.g., Music Theory ) - Into 'Guitar Tablature' if it would dead on, 'Note For Note' - Accurate for these, '24 Caprices Originally By Niccolo Paganini For Solo Violin. And the Dept., Head of The Guitar Conservatory had told me, NO ! And so then, I had asked Why Not ? And he'd replied because, all of these transcriptions of Niccolo Paganini's 24 Caprices in standard notation are merely an interpretation of The Violinist's Caprices & so it is, he said with all of the Great Composer's all of the sheet music he'd said are merely their inter - pretation of these Great Composer's. And in finality he'd said to me, if you are trying your best to do exactly what, Yngwie J. Malmsteen has done with Niccolo Paganini's 24 Caprices that, I would need to do exactly what, Yngwie ! Himself had to do. Which, is create his own transcription ( e.g., Interpretation ) for the 24 Caprices. Because, even if, I found someone to transcribe all these notes into guitar tablature, it will not & would not be pre - cisely ( exactly ) what Niccolo Paganini played. Because, standard notation he said gives only the notes, and not where they are played. And so therefore, 'Pythagoras' or in other words 'Pythagorian Lore', in terms of 'Music Theory', e.g., the Modes & Scales, etc., etc., etc., To me is not something, I wish to persue, because, I am a follower & disciple of not only 'Bruce Lee', But, Eddie Van Halen as well, and both of these Master's in their own right taught the same exact philosophy, and that philosophy is this - 'There Are No Rules Period. So, that's 'The Way Of No Way' - NO RULES AT ALL ! AT ALL !" ~
Hell yeah KJ!!! You just inspired me for the night. I'm looking forward to practicing some of your riffs. I hope that you are in a band as good as you are. Keep carrying the shred torch my brother \m/
"Thanks My Brother ! I Appreciate Your Sentiment & Your Compliment ! Have A Great One & I Am Grateful That, I Have Inspired You ! Utterly Awesome - That's Awesome !" ~
Heck yeah KJ!!! I was bummed when I heard you say in that last video that you wouldn't be making videos for a while. When I seen that you posted another one, my prayers were answered. Very nice playing brother. Keep on keeping us inspired sir. Great tone and excellent technique. You rock sir \m/
"Thank You ! My Brother ! Although, to keep up with keepin' everyone inspired, I must take some time in order to learn new material to share - you know !"
"Thank You ! Brother ! And that is exactly what I strive for is to help to inspire as many guitar player's as I possibly can. I appreciate your words - they mean a lot to me. Take Care Brother ! And keep Jammin' !"
I never understood the concept of the "devils music"..as in slide guitar. You can do a lot with a slide on a guitar and it's not necessarily evil or 'devil' influenced. To me, it's just a way to play different notes on the thing. Each to his own I suppose.
"Well, to understand more in terms of how it is the devil's music look up the famous musician's who sold their souls to the Devil. And also, string instruments & much more specifically, guitar and violin are instruments of The Devil, so it's The Devil's Music."
