Puraflame shoukd pay you for this in detail review, i just bought this exact fires insert because of your review. 1 question once the red lights are off that mean no heat?
@@diywithandrew If you want to look at that way, fine. I'm talking about the deliberate feature Makita built into the saw, a button you push for creating a deliberate stopping distance for pre-scoring your cut. You didn't use the literal feature, and yet you called the full plunge cut a "scoring cut". If by "semantics" you mean "completely wrong and misleading" then you would be on the right track (pun intended).
Great video. I bought the corded version for a couple reasons: 1. It turns on the dust collection. I can plug it into my Bosch dust collector. 2. I'm a weekend woodworker, so want it to last. I've bought battery tools and eventually they go bad and / or the technology changes and then the tool is no longer good. 3. This is the only Makita tool I have, so if the batteries were dead I couldn't do anything. There is a cool case that you can put 2 of the 55" tracks, clamps, and hardware which I also purchased.
It’s the dewalt 7 1/4” and it’s awesome. Here’s the video: DeWalt 20V MAX 7-1/4 Inch Miter Saw Unboxing and Review ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mEJHePSDQlk.html
I got ahead of myself and put all 4 sides together before installing the floor/bottom. It is near impossible to seperate those panels after they lock. Do not fear. With a little leverage (large flathead screwdriver) you can put the ends in and then spread the long sides to pop the tabs in.
Man, leave it to the professionals out here doing this for living! Just taking a cheap alternate and passing it off as an acceptable product when it's NOT!
If you're gonna do something, you should do it, right. We all know how you prep a floor the right way you gotta grind it bro. Leave it to the professionals you're giving the industry.A bad name , a pooxy's not something you can diy. It's a water-based epoxy, it's so thin. And it don't even come with the top coat
I am very happy with my efforts and results. I didn’t want to grind it, “bro”. It’s my garage. My “DIY” project had last over 2.5 years and still looks and functions great. 👊🏼🙌🏼
Hey, i just put epoxy on my garage floor and noticed i should have out more flakes in areas, now its dry is it ok to put on a clear top coat and add more flakes so they stick??
Just got a makita trimmer! Wondering if there is a different way to extend the spooly? Or is it just the bump feature? I don’t have grass down at my house yet (just mud lol), getting sod soon…
Thank you for the video. One request: Don't use acid while wearing shorts and sandals! The chips are meant to provide some anti-slip that's why no clear coat in the kit.
Haha! Well it’s too late now! As far as the chips: my issue with the using chips as the final covering and used as anti slip is that they can crack or not adhere perfectly, causing them to hurt your feet or constantly come loose or break off. That’s why I wanted to use the clear coat with sand. The clear coat is also easier to clean and mop.
Your best bet EVERYTIME,is to bring the entire floor with a walk behind grinder easily rented with hepa vac system...fast,and opens the concrete so it grabs a hold...in summer that floor may peel up on your hot tires
Great job of video and audio of the project. After seeing the end result with the black painted wall and units, I don’t think there’s enough light even from the sun that would encourage me to go black. Closets are utility and that means useful light.
I am looking for projects to do prior to me moving into my new build. Since the garage will be brand new, would yall suggest to acid etching and such or just a quick clean then start the application?
Nice end result. I am probably to conservative, because if it was my garage, I would probably have skipped the chips, but hey ... we all have different taste, so neither choice is wrong.
We just bought the same exact camper or as someone else just called it a tent trailer😂 Where did you get the lights you have on the poles behind the bed? You all did an awesome job with your make over. Now we want to do ours😊
Great question. In the Colorado Springs weather it has done very well. The sun is definitely effecting the wood and I think I need to reapply a new varnish or clear coat soon but I haven’t done a thing to it since I posted this video so I’d say pretty good. Again we are pretty dry where I live but the sun is intense since we live at 6,300 ft elevation. Hope that helps!
@@diywithandrew We have a Pure Flame Brand. And I can’t figure out how to open the front glass panel, so I can get in there to clean the inside of the glass. Other than that, We HIGHLY recommend an electric fireplace insert. You just take it out of the box and plug it in the wall and you’re all set.
