Yep, I bought my first CanvasCamp directly from Belgium in 2014 and its been used all over Canada in temperatures from +40 to -40 and its rock solid ..... I love it !! It's the exact same model too the Sibley Protech 500, they're fantastic !!!
Hi! I was just wondering this yesterday. I have a dove couple with a nest in my tree and I was wondering if they close their eyes when they sleep. Now I will watch the video.
Realy cool proyect. I've been thinking in doing something similar. Watching you moving all your stuff inside the tent on the raft, make me think you should make some kind of storage under de floor, that way you could have a cleaner view inside your tent. Nice work by the way, thank you by inspiring me doing it.
Thank you for this, saved me from watching news of the idiot here in the US. I must remember that snow tent stake tip and digging a deeper tent area. Thanks :)
It is beautiful out there. I don't think I have seen a tent that can be left alone over knight. I see ppl getting up every 4 hr's to take off the snow.
I can confirm the simple practicality those knee pads can bring 🙂 And yes, it was a Nuthatch - I think that's the only bird species that can "walk down tree head first".
I like how you didn't seem to make a judgement on how that forest is largely in the hands of men. It can be conflicting, I guess, to see how the forest can take care of itself, yet many forests are actually man made and harvested. Is that nature? Or is it not nature? Is that kind of change "good change"? or "bad change"? I don't know honestly.
When there is too much space between the trees, taller they get, easier it is for the winds to take them down. In dense forest they protect each other, the wind cannot sweep through with the same strength. Sadly, forestation requires more effort than deforestation. This is very important you give these simple lessons so beautifully. Thank you!
really nice review. i want to buy this stove in the future for my robens klondike grande. atm im using robens kobuk. im planning to buy glass windows and install them myself. but when my stove gets worn out i will buy something like this stove. last year i was in the ritsem area here in sweden and the stove made all the diffrence.. we have rain and cold weather, but with the stove it was nice and dry inside! theonly downside was not able to see the fire :=)
I loved examining the many sorts of moss in the forest around us, mostly oak. I even used to write poetry about moss. Have you ever seen moss with red caps on top? They were compared to people in my poem, standing up tall looking around like me. :)
Out at some nature I visit, one year there was a hawk couple and their chick. I was fortunate to be able to visit over several weeks and eventually saw the chick fledged out and flying. It was so special to experience. Their nest was similar, with twigs and branches, but it was high up in a Saguaro.
