We're here to help provide inspiration for your custom build. As we upload new content, you'll be seeing and hearing about different types of cafe racers, trackers, and scramblers.. and directly from the people who built them.
If you have difficulty selling this I know a T-shirt salesman in Arizona who sells motorcycles on the side. He works for commission or a 12-pack of beer and an 8-ball. Let me know if you need his number!
Love the Smoky Mountains. Rode my Sportster back in the day. Lived less than 3 hours away in Kentucky. Tail Of The Dragon was nice except the crotch rockets were a pain
How are we modifying every bike into a cafe racer except the original Harley Davidson Irons? Like, is there just a group that dislikes Harleys for being Harleys? Why take a bike that was never a cafe racer and make it one? Its stupid.
Ah the good old days when you had to have some skill in knowing how to ride a motorcycle. This was a very popular bike when I was in high school. Go smooth!
I've got a kickstarter in my 125cc bike (along with the electric starter). It helps a lot because when the battery runs out, you don't get automatically fvcked. It has its cons, if its the only system you've got. But it's actually useful and even stylish.
Your 350 sure sounds good. As you know, run it through the gears to red line and she really sings. Your friend with the bike shop seems like one of the few independant bike shops I would consider dropping off one of my old carbureted bikes. I was in Sturgis during the rally last summer, and my 1987 Kawasaki Concours sprung a leak on one of the oil cooler lines. Nursed it to a new Kawasaki dealer in Rapid City, SD to see if they would lend me tools and an oil drain pan to render it ridable back home, doing this in their parking lot. Talking to the service manager, he said they won't work on any bikes older than ten years old. And a carburetor, what's that? Take care!
Ten years?? I have a 1919 Harley JD, 66 CB 450, 61, 87,and 03 sidecar equipped (all three Sportsters,) oh, and a 52 Harley K model. Ten years old- not even run in. Tragic.
