Hello my name is David! David Jeremie. David Jeremie Ryan. David Jeremie Ryan “Hollywood “…Young. Yeah, I have a few different names. I’ve got more hobbies and interests then names though. Blacksmithing, carpentry, building, videography, whiskey, backcountry adventures, bushcraft, homesteading (obviously, it’s in the name)… thats a few that come to mind and I want to share them all with you. So, hopefully you’ll enjoy watching the videos as much as I do creating them and following along in the journey of my "Handcrafted Lifestyle". CHEERS!
I might just do that! Right now we have chickens in it to give the soil a rest and let them help till up and fertilize but could probably do it this spring. Thanks for the great suggestion!
First time I've heard a waxed jacket actually are waterproof of repellent at all. By my experience it's very far from it even with 3 layers of wax. So you must have put some real heavy layers on it.
This could have been a curb less shower with the floor shower depth was like 1 foot deep should have used a liner and dropped the shower depth. Great job kinda.
It looks like you started with a brown jacket but at the end it looks grey. Why is that? Other cotton oil/tinning videos I've seen the clothes ends up darker but not changing color.
tool steel ive grown weary of tuning up. id like 2 c someone make one with some bearing steel into the blade end. nothing agaist the maker !!!! he has GREAT skills😊
Love how much thought you put into your designs! Curious how many chickens you have? We have an old workshop we are using for the chickens with a large run. I've struggled with design of ourbrooding area. And I also want to make it more self running as you did yours. Would love to see atleast a sketch of your building and run layout. Thanks for sharing!!
Hello! And thank you! We did spend a bit of time deciding on the design. And it even changed a little as we were building it. Right now we have a mixed variety of 20 Australorp, Orpington, Wyandotte, RI reds, and Cochin. So they’re all medium to large breeds. Which I think is just the right amount for the size of roost and run we have. I considered making some sort of blog that showed the design and material list. I can’t post anything here in the comments but I might be able to find the old plans and could email you a picture or send one in social media. If that works just contact me through one of the links in the video’s description.
The temperature of the air that the heat gun is producing? Sorry I don’t remember what temps that heat gun was capable of. It broke a while back. The best answer I have for that is hot enough to melt the wax. 🤷🏼♂️
Not sure if you are aware or not yet, but there is a lot of information surfacing on SDI being a huge scam company that doesn't actually teach you anything you can't learn watching RU-vid. The difference is RU-vid isn't going to cost you $22,000.00. Also with a sdi diploma you are eligible to get hired at the exact same level of employment as anyone off the street with zero experience. Seems that what sdi is best at is taking your GI bill money... don't take my word for it do your own research.
Yes. I just saw this starting to surface and I’ve been doing some research on it. That being said, I don’t disagree with anything you or anyone else is saying about it and I certainly appreciate your comment, I just think the same issue at hand could be applied to the majority of college degrees out there. I’d argue that I could probably learn everything from Google/RU-vid that I would learn from getting a degree from (insert college here). On top of that I’d argue that just because I have a degree from (insert college here) doesn’t mean I’d have better placement in the workforce. Maybe 20, 30, 40 years ago but not so much anymore. Could Google make me an admitted attorney? No way, but I’d learn the same stuff myself by doing a lot of research and reading. Of course, as mentioned I’m looking into it and this is just my opinion on it so far.
@@TheHiddenHomestead you are correct, all universities are ran the same way. Gunsmiths however are required to operate very precision equipment like lathes or milling machines, something you can NEVER learn from online. Grand thumb has recently severed a 4 year deal with sdi after learning the truth about them. Guess it comes down to the question do I have morals, ethics, and values or am I simply motivated by greed and I'll keep taking their dirty money?
I’ve gone to your Amazon list for the ingredients and it’s no longer available. Would you be able to advise what they are? I’ve got a carhartt I’m wanting to do this with.
Hey! I just looked and it doesn’t pull up on my end either. I think it’s an Amazon issue. Try these! If this doesn’t work we can try something else. Carhartt Jacket a.co/d/0XbCd0c Formby’s Tung Oil Finish a.co/d/dvI6BWz Citrus Solvent or you could just use mineral spirits a.co/d/5IrM41q Tung Oil a.co/d/hpmsPp3 Microcrystalline Wax a.co/d/4QZSCYJ
We would use flat shovels and keep shoveling from bottom and throw on top, after that start floating it in so its fairly straight up and down and not thick on bottom, then we would carve shapes of stone into it, u need alot of guys for that, the most labor intensive part if shoveling mud from the thick bottom on top to get it somewhat the same thickness
Thank you! I hope so too! When are you doing it? I have a full online course for vertical concrete coming out soon. If you need anymore information that is. Right now I have my mix design and explanation on Patreon.
YOURE THE ONLY OTHER PERSON IVE SEEN MENTION THE 4 WAY TAP TURNER. JUST BECAUSE THE WORLD ENDS DOESNT MEAN WATER PRESSURE STOPS!!! THERES SO MUCH DRINKABLE WATER IN THE APOCALYPSE, THEY JUST MADE IT COMPLETELY INACCESSIBLE BEFORE IT ALL WENT TO SHIT 😂😂😂😂
😂 true. And that’s awesome! I didn’t realize I’m one of the few that has mentioned it. It just made sense to me. Being a contractor I always kept one in the work truck in case I needed water for anything. Most commercial buildings don’t have a regular water spigot.
That’s a good point, however as mentioned at the beginning of the video this isn’t a SHTF sort of bug out. My thought is that while some natural disasters can be pretty massive in scale they normally don’t take out an entire regions complete infrastructure. *Normally. So getting a hot meal at a family’s or friend’s house, hotel or restaurant down the street or next town over wont be impossible.
