loved your vlog ame!! i feel so seen with what you said about finding community. it feels so difficult, even when you've met your goals, i feel empty with out people to share those goals with. i'm glad you could feel that community in new york!! hopefully next year i can visit stationery fest, it looked like a once in a lifetime experience HAHA p.s. i love that you wear my sunflower earrings so often, it makes me so happy :''''')
oo wuts that home decor store u went to? imma need to go there and shop LOL. it was nice bumping into you there! and everyone feels the way u feel at some point, myself included right now. i just leave it up to the universe and hope for the best lol. feel better and come back to visit soon!!! <3
@@Diningonstyle aw thank you E!! I’m glad we got to see each other a bit too!! It’s true, just gotta take it one day at a time. The interior home shop is called CIBONE. It’s attached to Dashi Okume (yum food). CIBONE is what my apartment would look like if i hit the jackpot LOL
I'm so grateful to have found your channel. You have a natural talent. Please continue the exceptional work. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
Your paintings are so gorgeous! I love seeing your whole process, the colours you picked for this piece are so soothing and the critters are adorable 🥺
What a fantastic vlog. Your brothers dog is so cute and the bug exhibit was so cool. I love owlyjules art, that wonderful you go to meet them. Ottawa's so pretty, It looks like a place I'd love to explore. I also need those Yoseka meme cat stickers in my life haha. This made my week, hope you have a great week Ame.
I wasn't feeling good and this video was a perfect companion. Your whimsical paintings and easy voice helped me forget about my uncomfortableness. Thank you!
Your art is so adorable. The tamagatchi drawings are my favorite! Just curious how long it took you to get comfortable with ink only? I'm starting to transition away from pencil, but it's a process still. Hoping I reach your level of confidence one day.
Thank you so much for watching!! I think it took me a year or two to get comfortable. But I have to say it’s more about how much effort you put into it versus time! I draw A LOT so I get a lot of mileage! I suggest just having fun with it and don’t be too hard on yourself to make the process easier!! Be conscious but not critical. You can definitely do it!!
These are amazing! I will watch this video over an over again to appreciate all of those compositions. Love the Pokémon interactions :') I think I'm finally convinced to start using ink
Oh my god I had to pause to tell you that YOURE NOT ALONE WITH THE MONEY THING!!! I was/am always so stressed out about finances bc during Covid and my first year of law school we were a no income household and everything got so expensive. Between moving out and tuition and rent and moving AGAIN and school expenditures I was like broken down crying wondering if I even made the right choice. I’m always in mental flux when it comes to wondering if I’m saving enough or if I’m buying things I don’t need or if it’s worth it to eat nutritious food sometimes!! It sucks!!!
omg that's incredibly stressful, i hope things are smoothing out for you. It is a lot of mental energy to just even try to calm down!! thanks for sharing!
it's not just you! i hate the concept of money and finances. i don't understand it and it's incredibly stressful for me to deal with. a lot of my (autistic) pathological demand avoidance is related to paying bills, going to the bank, taxes and managing my bank accounts. some days it goes so far as to buying normal stuff like milk in the store because i fundamentally struggle to understand the value of money. im literally avoiding transferring money between my accounts rifht now since it's a new month. looking for a job isn't helping,,, all we can do is cope with it as best as possible. thank u for this lovely video :3
It's so cool seeing all your Traveler's notebooks and how you use them differently! I'm also really interested in your Tamagotchi too, do you think you'd consider showing which ones you've collected? I've had two from my childhood in 2004 but it piques my interest every time I see them in your videos :D
thanks so much for watching!!! I could do a tamagotchi video down the line haha I have ... many... I really love rotating them and playing with each one haha
I've never thought about the kakimori dip nib as an art tool, until this video and I'm also seeing other artists have taken to this tool as well. Probably because I was first exposed to it via fountain pen and ink swatching, it didn't interest me much (especially since I already had 2 glass dip pens), but now 👀 I'm thinking a kakimori order will be in my future. TFS ame ^w^!
wow super late reply but thank you!! I don't have interest in swatching even though I like looking at ink properties. So if I reasoned if I draw with it, it's like a very elaborate swatch since there's thick and thin lines haha thank you for watching!! did you end up getting kakimori???
@@ameruu I did! It’s a very nice product (I got the brass seconds nib and a steel nib), so far I have used it to swatch inks, but I need to try drawing with it 🫣😔
!!! I loved watching you draw these in your stories on instagram, I didn't know you had a YT channel! I was wishing you'd post them as videos and to see how you did it and you did! Omg thank you!
your journal is BEAUTIFUL! if I were as talented an artist as you, I'd hate to put my comics in a journal that got put away! well , in any case, thanks for sharing and I hope you dont put too much pressure on yourself to make things bigger and better all the time, as this was lovely as-is!
It was so great being able to see your whole thought process and workflow! I always love seeing these on your Instagram and how you use the hobonichi in such creative ways. Happy Holidays ame, thank you for the fun video! (:
This was such a great video, thank you for sharing! The way you create emphasis and play with textures in foreground/midground/background elements reminds me so much of how traditional Japanese woodblock prints are laid out. I love it so much!
You absolutely made sense! It was so much fun watching you draw and explain your process, it felt like I was watching one of your streams. It was so enthralling watching you do your line art and becoming absorbed in the drawing. Im so happy you uploaded this fantastic video. Thank you Ame!
This is so awesome Ame! Have been loving following along on insta so it's no nice to see your process and I'm always in awe how you just lay it down and the composition is fantastic!
