Champion is what is recommended for dodge engines. Considering it’s a dodge, it would make sense that it gets champion plugs, but it’s a fiat motor so, NGK it is.
Dude… it’s what the shops tell them to do. I’m thinking the best bet for diagnosing this car would be to call a mechanic that lives in Europe. They stump American mechanics.
The cold air pipe section (the second pipe section from the throttle body) that has the little forked bracket that attaches to the car with that black rubber standoff piece, it needs to be flipped the other way. The purpose of the black rubber standoff piece is just that, to standoff what is being attached, and since it is rubber it is suppose to allow movement and flexibility, not to dampen as whoever in the video stated. The black rubber piece should be put on first then you put the second pipe section forked bracket on top of that. When the motor moves back and forth under load the black rubber standoff piece will allow the intake pipe to flex with it. The way it is installed in this video the forked bracket is resting down on the metal surface of the cars chassis where it can't really move as well as opposed to being on top of the rubber standoff. If there is any question or doubt in regards to proper installation of it anyone can refer to the installation instructions of any of the AEM Cold Air Intakes for the 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse on there website, and yeah I know the CAI installed in this video isn't made by AEM but it is basically identical in its design, mounting and mounting hardware.
I’ve binged so many car videos. I’m a muscle car guy but it hurts me to see how they are now compared to what they were in the last 60’s and early 70’s. So I watch ricer stuff. I want one now.
When these things are decked out with customer exterior? Damn they look good. I’ll always be upset over the many concepts Dodge had that they cancelled. I have a Challenger and I’m looking to get a Dart for my 1st Sedan.
Get a 1.4 dude. It's a fun car. Man I own the 2.0l, and she's pretty damn fun too. A great car to learn how to work on cars on; especially modding cars. The idea of taking a slow car and making it go fast by incessantly modifying the engine, exhaust or by tuning the cpu is the basis of modding, and that's the kinda thing that the dart kinda loves; even if people will tell you otherwise. It's got a really solid engine, and a lightweight sedan body.
