I have a feeling that Ravencroft's experiments at Blackgate were funded by the League of Assassins. Think about it. The results seem too dangerous for them not to unconnected to anything else. Braxton and Ravencroft's mind control and memory wiping experiments were part of Ra's al Ghul's plan to control world leaders. Think about it: Braxton's machine could potentially wipe a political leader's mind and then install new memories of them being a loyal follower and puppet of the League. Margaret Sorrow and Lunkhead were simply test subjects. In Margaret's case, they wanted to see if they machine would work and if the test subject could survive. In Lunkhead's case, they wanted to fix his brain so they could use his strength to turn him into the perfect soldier for the League. What do you think?
Good video! I really liked the Batman/Katana dynamic. Yeah, she has a lot to learn from him, but unlike a Robin's old and experienced enough to have some independence. It reminds me of Nightwing a bit, which now I know might've been on purpose considering their season 2 plans. As for other hidden games, I'd recommend Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.
It’s refreshing to see someone catch the Nightwing element 😃 That independence is what I grew to like about her as the show went on. This really is one of those shows that got cancelled too soon I’ll definitely check out Stretch Armstrong as well. Appreciate the suggestion 💪🏿
Question: Do you think Pyg and Toad really care about the environment as much as they claim? Or do you think they're just using the abuse animals and nature go through as an excuse to terrorize and kill the wealthy of Gotham (from land investors to fashion designers)?
that's an awesome question, thanks for asking bruv For starters, I would want to see Silver Monkey come back in season 2. I would have more A-List villains (Mr. Freeze being at the top of the list) and characters, but still not even mention the Joker until maybe the season 2 finale or something like that. I would also bring in a more "usual" Robin character for the second season (maybe jump straight to Tim Drake or Jason Todd), and then I would have Katana kind of go off and do her own thing at the end of season 2 (a la a Nightwing, if that makes sense), and then that other Robin character would fill in and so for Season 3, we would get the real Batman and Robin experience. If you wanted to, you could maybe throw in a few more superhero team-up episodes (like a Creeper episode or something) Just a few thoughts haha. Appreciate the question bruv I would love to hear some of your ideas too man
Love the questions man. 1) we would explore Anarky more during the second season (would still keep him as a main antagonist, but not the antagonist if that makes sense) 2) I would not make Barbara Batgirl, she works best as Oracle in this universe. I would maybe have her aged up and have her as a junior cop working on the force. No Batgirl though 3 and 4) I would redeem Magpie and make her the "Catwoman" love interest character in this version. We could maybe mention Selina Kyle or make little mentions of a "cat themed burglar", but I don't think I would go the traditional route with Catwoman I would also introduce more characters from the Gotham PD (Montoya, Crispus Allan, Bullock). I always liked the police aspect and it would be cool to see Batman and Katana interact with them
@@JaysonHodges27154 great question. I probably would have started the outsiders team sooner. It would have been cool to have Geo-Force or Black Lightning (another superpowered character) on the team as well. Man-Bat was cool, but him being a part of that team felt kind of meh Funny enough, the more I think of it, I'm not sure I would have used Deathstroke. I would have used Deadshot instead and saved Deathstroke for later on
Man, Symbiotic Titan had so much potential. IIRC the reason it got canceled was Genndy Tartarofsky didn't want an accompanying toy line or something so it got the ace for no attached merchandising. I get not wanting to play the corporate game but ugh.
It's funny you bring up Arkham Knight (that whole series was amazing, minus Origins) I wish they did more cartoons based on that universe. The Suicide Squad cartoon movie about it was actually amazing
@guapojim yeah I was super sore that night. My dumbass forgot to stretch during MMA class, and I have to work too. When I finally made it to bed, I turned on the TV and watched the series. During commercial break, they announced it being the very last night. But yeah, I enjoyed the show.
Imagine if this show got the The Batman (2004) treatment. The Batman (2004) was criticized early on too. But it got more seasons. So more people knew of it, gave it a shot, and ended up liking it. Beware the Batman didn’t get to flesh out its set up stories tho. It’s a shame. I swear, Cartoon Network had it out for action cartoons in the 2010’s lol.
You’re preaching to the choir, bruv. I really think this show could have been great if they gave it more of a chance. Using the 2004 Batman show, great example. It was iffy at first, but they gave it a chance and it became a really cool Batman show. Don’t even get me started about Cartoon Network’s track record of cancelling great shows. I could do a whole video about that as well
That version of batman was trash! the worst batman show if you do not count Batcars! The only good show done in that CHEAP style is the Green lantern show.
This version of Batman was great haha. Batwheels (or Batcars) is a baby show, so I won't even count it, but Beware the Batman was a fire show all things considered. The GL show was a great show as well, shame it didn't last longer
Let me tell you that as someone that had sparingly watched Beast Wars/Machines when it first aired; both shows have aged gracefully upon revisiting them nearly 20 years later. They make Earthspark seem like a preschool show. Beast Machines has always gotten the worst end of the stick in terms of acceptance. If you've grew up with Rhinox, then obviously you would carry a torch for him. What these "people" can not grasp, is how an ideology can change a person; especially if they've been radicalized, much less brainwashed by a fictional Robot fascist (Megatron). Your world view gets screwed up when you've committed genocide, especially against your own will. It's understandable how Rhinox would just take a dramatic character flip, yet no one wants to admit that's what being in a cult does to a person's mindset. Even after they've escaped, it's hard to live a normal life afterwards, especially all the things he's done, such as hunting down cybertronians, removing their sparks, to the brink of extinction. You don't just go back to being a good guy. Also, it's one of the first animated stories where Megatron won. All the Maximals are playing on his court, hometown advantage. Of course they'll be chased down in every episode. The bad guys won, there are higher stakes now, more than ever. Yet, certain parts of the fandom can't seem to understand this concept, because you rarely ever start off a series where the heroes are practically behind by 60 points, barely at halftime and Michael Jordan is smiling his face off after dunking on your star center. As it's own story, you can watch Beast Machines without needing to watch all 3 seasons of Beast Wars. It works as it's own stand-alone story thanks to the fact it was written with an ending, planned from the start. If people want the same characters they love so much, then they should just re-watch Beast Wars again.
Beast Machines is an abomination and totally disrespectful to the masterpiece that is Beast Wars. It should never have been made. The characters were awful continuity and the robot modes look like crap.
EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS WRONG! Beast Machines is not an abomination and it not disrespectful to the masterpiece that is Beast Wars. It was meant to be made! The character's were not awful continuity and their robot modes look nothing like crap! You are cold-hearted like all Beast Machines hater's!
@@guapojim I suspect it would have worked a lot better if it was its own unconnected series and not a sad direct sequel to Beast Wars. If they really wanted to do a good sequel, they teased the political machinations of the Tripredacus Council in Beast Wars, they could've rolled with that angle.
I watched the first few episodes and the last few lol i didnt gravitate towards like i did with beast wars but it was a neat show none the less trying something different
@@guapojim yeah, the hate it is due to the many changes made in the characters and the writing. The writer had been tolded not to watch beast wars because it was too referencial, so they decide to give some g1 referrences instead.
@@cpubigdipper9145 I bet you see this cartoon as a circus freak show with the Maximal's as it's freak's but I don't! The Maximal's in Beast Machines are not ugly!
I missed the show 😢! I was one of the supporters to try to support a season 2 which would've been the finale of this, but sadly it was canceled. I Hope Disney actually reboots the series Or at least bring season 2 back to finish what they started, as well as the conclusion of what happened to the Grid after Tron Legacy?
This is my one of my favorite superhero series that was perfect for SciFi Geeks like myself 🤓 🤩🩵 I enjoyed it nearly every minute of it of how unique it was, how things are Chand how it's Inspiration, World Building, & Gallery that rivals Ben 10 itself! The movie was just Okay, he understood what they're trying to do though I guess it was a bit janky in comparison to the show itself. My favorite Turbo forms of max steel: Speed, Clone, Rocket, Heat, Spike, Super, & Titan! There's one particular cross over I always want to do for the Transformers Aligned Continuity: What if Makino invaded Cybertron during the golden age ( Specifically right before Orion Pax and Megatronous plead their case the Cybertron Council for Primes)
I'm Happy to see an Old Series like this be Remembered by being reviewed as a Fan. The show used to be on Netflix before it disappeared with the reboot & sequel one day ,I didn't finish season 1.
Thank you so much for covering this I love Max Steel I personally never seen the classic series and honestly I'll stick with the reboot it's Action, Comedy, Characters and world building is amazing
The reason why Max Steel works was a superhero jump on let me see many continuation spin-offs are even won the first reboots I'm not talking how Disney Marvel and Star Wars but this is awesome made from nerdcore who started out as the Canadians were the first one do in the 3D shows until Dragon Booster Storm Hawks Hot Wheel Battle Force 5 Max Steel and ending an off with Slugterra those were good times.
I grew up with this show more than the original I feel like they could do another reboot eventually and basically combining both concepts together could be kinda cool
I would absolutely love a crossover between the two different Max’s. They’re each different enough that they would bounce off each other well. They missed an opportunity with those two
