So it will be nice to leave a code to what you can easily come up(but not anything like these---1234,1111,2684.2580,1379)such as the first 4 digits or last 4 digits of your phone number or license plate number in case you need to silence the system in a hurry.Or programming a key fob's button(or RFID card) as "disarm" in the system
Anyone know how to shut up the Accenta alarm key panel from making all the bleeping/pinging noises when setting it? Its too f*&king loud at night before I go to bed, so I wake the kids setting it, FFS! Thank you.
To do this you'll have to access the main control panel itself - usually located in the under the stairs cupboard or in an upstairs cupboard. You'll have to unscrew the panel cover to access the circuit board. A Philips screwdriver should do this. Unscrew and open the panel cover. Warning: Doing this causes the alarm to go into tamper mode and staring sounding, You'll then need to go back to the keypad and enter in your code to silence the alarm. Back at the main control panel, towards the middle of the circuit board you should see a dial, marked VOLUME, (see picture: securitytradesupplies.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ADEACCENTA8CTRLBOARD.jpg *on this particular model it is black and is below the power light*). In the centre of the dial is a screwdriver hole, this can be toggled with a Philips screwdriver to adjust the volume of the system's setting and unsetting tones. Turning it clockwise decreases the volume. After this, refit the cover of the panel, securing with the screw. Go back to the keypad and press the RESET button (or the X button on some keypads), to reset the alarm and take it out of tamper mode. Try setting and unsetting the system again to check that the volume level has changed, if the volume is still too loud or too quiet you can repeat this process until you are happy with the volume level. Hope this helps :).
