I appreciate the video, and the effort that you made to help people out, but without close up shots of the grain, viewers can't really see the difference at all. Personally, I was excited to see the comparison as well, but could not see any fine details. 😅
Daniel, that is the Mirka hose and cord as sold in the US, link below. My Dust Extractor is the Nilfisk Aero 31, again as sold in the US. The Mirka connector was a perfect fit on my Nilfisk without any adapters needed or used. 2sand.com/mirka-deros-deos-coaxial-vacuum-hose-sleeve-6-meter/
@@Sandcom ok thanks. I thought the Nilfisk was 32mm diameter and the mirka was 27mm. That's what made me think "what's this trickery" 🤣 Maybe you could educate me, will they both fit each other? If that's the case I notice the mirka runs at 4m and the Nilfisk 3.5m. I'll buy a mirka one to go onto my 26-31 nilfisk. P.s the link says protected so I cannot view it.... Also I'm from the UK so I don't know if that effects the Nilfisk and mirka sizes. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
@@danielwoolcock7267 sorry about the "protected" link, we serve the US market, both Mirka and Nilfisk have dealers in other countries. That being said, I've measured both my tools and both are right at 2-1/4" or about 27mm. Both are tapered so if they were off by a bit they still work. That 27mm is pretty standard for "shop Vacs" in the US. Hope that helps.
This is a method of Pre raising the grain and then sanding it smooth before applying the water borne finish. If you simply apply the finish without "raising and sanding the grain" first, your finish will raise the grain and now you'll have to sand it smooth and reapply the finish. Good trick and it saves you money on stain since you'll be using half as much.
How deep are those wedges cut? Not sure what you mean by difference between the circumference of the holder and disc size? In your case 3" disc means ???? number divided by 8 and what is that measurement on your template? The sanding apparatus you made is awesome and seems easy. Thanks
