I am an older model woman in my 60s that was diagnosed with Parkinson's approximately 10 years ago. It took me awhile to realize that this was really happening and that I was changing. As I lose somethings that make me unique I wanted my family to have a way to remember me as I was not how the disease made me become. This is my story as it is, the good, the bad and the unfortunate. I hope you laugh and are encouraged and if we shed a tear now and then it's no worries for life is life and what we do with it is our choice. Hi my name is Darlene

Hi Darlene and sweet family! You look like you finally feel better and maybe a nap would be good. I hope Bill and Claudine’s appointments goes well. Hopefully Cal and the family will be able to come over. I hope everyone has a very blessed day! ❤️🤗🙏
Hi Darlene, I am so pleased to hear your having some pain relieve from the injection shot. I can't believe it's August already the time sure does go fast. Its been very hot here and hard to sit outside and enjoy the summer. Fall is my favourite season. We had fish and chips yesterday too. Enjoy your weekend stay cool and safe my friend xoxoxo
Hello Darlene! Happy to hear the injection worked, it seemed like a long time coming for the doctors to finally figure out for something to work. Its a little cooler here today so thats good. Hope you got to sit outside on your deck. Have a good day. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗
)Thanks Darlene/ It is Saturday morning at 8-55 . Seems like the cortisone shot in my shoulder is working. Shortly I am going to get my old bicycle out and j ride (slowly) around the neighborhood. Later look around the thrift stores. my usual Saturday morning past time 😊
Oh Darlene i’m so happy for you ❤❤ I think a Baby monitor is great ❤ Oh Bill got Fish and chips awww he is happy ❤Love to see you so happy and laughing 😂 Have a great weekend enjoy the sunshine ❤❤hugs to you all🍦🌹✌️ 6:42
I sure hope the shot(s) last as long as possible! I don’t understand why is Claudine mowing the yard with that incision being opened up?! Like why isn’t Ivy mowing or her husband? I guess I have been spoiled by my husband for almost 47 years now. He’s always done the mowing….& all by push mowing until last summer….when he found a good deal on a Zero Turn Mower at a yard sale. In all the places we have lived….we had big yards…& most were not level! He has mowed at least an acre of yards at each place…plus ran a Weed Eater! I do know they don’t make many men like my husband anymore….he’s been working hard since he was a kid! He’s 66 now…takes care of our 2 yards & still works hard at our machine shop! I worry about Claudine’s stomach!😢
Ivy does go out and do the mowing alot but Claudine feels like doing it as well because Ivy works a ton of hours every week. Bill was always the one to do the outside work but he's just not capable to do it now. Have a good weekend
Hi Darlene and sweet family! I’m so happy to hear that the shot worked or at least makes it tolerable. I took my brother to his doctors appointment and his doctor called an ambulance, so I spent the day at the hospital with my brother. I’m glad you got to get out for a bit. Yes, as I get older the time just seems to fly by. I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend! ❤️🤗🙏
Hey Darlene. Hope the injection is going to be a success. I had a cortisone shot in my right shoulder yesterday. It is the fifth one in that shoulder. I have had varying success with them. The doc who gave it says it is all about placement. Where the needle goes in. You can only get one a minimum of every 3 months. My next one is due Oct 31st (I think) I didn't feel a thing. Best of luck
I'm glad your first injection went well, and there was little pain. Prayers that it will work as it should, and as you hope it will. On the other hand, I hope the surgeon suggest a simple surgery that would take all of your pain away, and you wouldn't have to go for neck injections every 6 months. Whatever it takes to get you pain free is what I'm hoping for you. Darlene, have you considered buying and using the Amazon Echo Dot as your means of communicating with Darlene in the night? Luckily, we have that system set up in our house, and it has been worth it's weight in gold just over the last week. Last Friday my dog ran into the back of my left leg (out in the backyard) and I fell. Long story short, I broke my ankle in 3 places, and dislocated it. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow to pin and plate the ankle. Anyway, since I've been in bed most of the time since last Friday, I can talk with my husband when he's in the tv room where he hangs out the most, or when he's in the kitchen. The Echo Dot works as an intercom system, plays music, has a timer/alarm clock feature, you can set reminders, etc., etc. It really has been a valuable asset for when I need something, and hubby is elsewhere in the house.
We actually have that system in our house too.And I didn't even think of using it as a nighttime intercom. We did to just today.Purchased a baby monitor so if if that doesn't work real definitely tried the dot
Hope all goes well with the injection ❤ Darlene keep the hope ❤Darlene i was just going to suggest a baby monitor ❤ They work great ❤❤Thanks for the update will keep you in prayer 🙏 hugs 🫂 🍦🌹👍9:22
What was the medication in the injection? The Epidural injections my Mom has had done were just in a patient room at the doctors office with her just sitting in a chair. This last time she had the Botox injection…they had her sit up on a patient bed in a room….while the doctor used an ultrasound machine to see where to inject the Botox in her neck. When I have my lower back done with injections…I have to lie down with my face in one of those donut pillows. I sure hope these injections work for you too!💉🤗
Hi Darlene and sweet family! I’m so glad that the injection went well. Just make sure the baby monitor can’t be hacked and it can be secured especially if it has a camera. Rest and take it easy. I hope everyone has a very blessed day! ❤️🤗
oh I hope the injections will help ❤❤Aurora is so darn cute playing .. so cute in that pink hat ❤Baby girl in pink ❤she is so cute and plays so well by herself ❤ boy she crawls fast ❤❤Thanks for sharing Aurora with us hugs goodnight ❤❤🙈♥️👍🌹 10:43
Hello Darlene! Thanks for the update. I hope the injections are going to give you pain relief. Aurora is having a fun day playing at Aunty and Grandma's house. Take care. Hugs. 🤗🤗
Hi Darlene and sweet family! I’m glad to hear that the spine surgeon is seeing you, hopefully you will be a step closer to being painless. Claudine is so good with the kids, she is an awesome Auntie. I hope everyone has a very blessed week ❤️🤗🙏
My 85 year old Mother just had Botox Injections in her neck. It’s taken them a few days to work, she’s finally getting some relief from all of her pain! The orthopedic doctor does our injections. I used to have Epidural Injections in my lower back…they didn’t last but a couple of months…now I have been getting the burning of the nerves in my lower back…which is called Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA). Which I had done 3 weeks in a row in June. Those injections are supposed to last 6 months to a year, sorry to say when I start bending over working around the house…I start hurting…if I don’t do much…the pain isn’t has bad. The doctor did tell me that the reason I have been having leg spasms…is from those nerves…he said they will settle down…which they have been. Remember I have had 2 neck surgeries on Vertebra’s C4, C5 & C6 replaced. Hopefully your Vertebra’s aren’t pushing on your spinal cord like mine were.
Hey there, I’m Brooke’s Aunt Vickie. Thank you for your kindness towards her and the positive impact she has on others. I must say Brooke is the same person in real life as she is on camera. Thanks for sharing her with others. I know she will appreciate it. Much love and many blessings.
Hey Darlene, You look so well in this video. A terrible thing about Jasper. We have visited a few times. Our grandson Devon was there just a few weeks ago. along with his partner. They had flown out for the stampede. Our middle great grandchild (we have 3) is named Jasper. born on Canada's birthday. He just turned 3 years of age. I too am getting a shot. in my right shoulder. next week.to hopefully ease the pain. It is cortisone they inject in me every 3 months minimum (won't give them any closer than 3 months) Too much racquetball, tennis, pickleball, over the years has done it for me. I quit playing at the end of the season last year. Hope you managed to get back to sleep, hugs
Hello, I will follow Southern Frugal momma now. Thank you for the share. I agree with you to stay as positive as one can . I send you lots of positivity your way and appreciate all your videos. Thank you.😄😄😄😄 Sunday blessings to you and family.🙏
Hello Darlene, sad that there is a fire in Jasper . Portage is so good. I like cheese sandwiches. I eat most thins with a fork too. Glad you are going to go to bed soon. Hope you sleep well. Hope the shots work. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
Good morning Darlene, I hope these injections will be just the thing to give you some relief. I too feel sorry for the people who have lost everything they own, their place of employment is gone, their pets or livestock. It would be just about the most overwhelming thing I can imagine. And the wildlife, it is just tragic.I hope you were able to get some sleep. ❤
Hi Darlene and sweet family! Fire is devastating and I pray that everyone is safe! I slept late this morning, felt good. I hope your injections work for your pain. I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend!
