Met this lovely lady on a East Kent bus recently. Knew nothing about her past problems with cancer. So pleased that she has recovered from the ordeal and wish her all the best for the future!

I lived in Nightingale Vale when they were brand new in 1969. Looks like they have taken away the underground garages. Not sure I would want to live there now.
Third house back on the right (with the open bedroom window) I was born in that bedroom back in 1966! Many happy times spent here. My family moved to Kent in 1985 after Dad had bought the property off the council for approx £12.5K. That wouldn't even get you a garage these days. I attended Downsell Junior School literally 5 minutes around the corner. Back then the school was a large imposing brick building. Now sadly demolished and replaced with a sprawling campus. Subsequently went to Ruckholt Manor School and finally Tom Hood (as it was then.) Tom Hood School (renamed Buxton School) is the only one that survives. Thank you for uploading this. Brings back many memories.
