*The Devil’s Apocalypse* “Comedy” Why did the Germans invent the automobile? They needed a place to read after inventing the printing press. What did the Devil say to the Lyft (R) driver? Let me get my ancient balance. One for the nobleman, two for the market…take me to your leaders! Why is Yoo Hoo (R) brown? It’s secretly made by Fanta (R) which was invented in Nazi Germany. Why is the McChicken not a bestseller at McDonald’s? Because of the Druid conspiracy, man. It’s white skeleton meat in the middle. Why did Lucifer have yellow hair? Because not all conquistadors are brown and he needed to run the Inquisitors. Why is Dracula called “The Count?” Because of the Medieval clockmaker conspiracy. He’s like the White Rabbit of Medieval Times. Haha haha Why are vampires associated with umbrellas? Because then everyone gets a huge complex about it. Why is the Devil a mathematician? Because then you perform the miracles and magic and he just gets the numbers and angles. Why did Pac Man run from ghosts? Because he was wired like a train but on the city streets after a bad drug deal, man. Read between the lines! -William Blake the Alchemist, not affiliated with Blake’s Lotaburger or the Mad Hatter ride at Disneyland (R) Six fingers under my throat. Why were the yellow pages yellow? Because for the Spanish it’s all about money now and they’re known for old news. Why did Pearl Jam make a song about Jeremy? Because I’m Jeremy, also, and it was my eighteenth birthday party in 1991. He thought he saw the Devil because I had long bangs like Peter Pan. Why does God own a canary? Because of the Bennu birds. He likes to watch it ring the little bell. Hahaha haha Ringmakers ho! I bringeth thee a Prometheus fire! Why did Pythagoras journey from Egypt to Greece? Because he didn’t get along with his dad, Thoth and he wanted to be his own diety. Why did Jesus pick his nose with his finger? Because he couldn’t pick it with a reed. Why did Oppenheimer inflate the bomb with photographs? Because two miles looks more like a little boy and everyone knows little boys wear platform shoes. Why did crusaders chase the Holy Grail? I don’t know. Ask Peter the Hermit. Phew. Why does the Devil smoke Lucky Strikes? It’s the only way to keep the Nazis from giving him a complex. Why do they call it Ovalteen? Because I always forget to do my math homework and planets revolve elliptically. Thank you very much!
My boyfriend looks scarily similar to Sam Riley and often people tell me he looks like Ian Curtis too. I’m a huge JD fan, so maybe subconsciously I’ve found his doppelgänger. Who knows. Great film
*Are Demons Real?* "Separating the Light from the Dark" Are demons real, or do they just exist as metaphors? The answer to both questions is yes. The reason is simple. One simply asks the question, "does art imitate life or does life imitate art?" When creating a work of art or poetry or a story one first begins to ascribe a list of traits, color schemes, animals, characteristics, situations, facial expressions, seasons, even numbers that fit and follow the creation of one's demon or devil as a character or subject. These traits exist as real in the world, therefore demons and devils are real simply because the world and people carry these traits and characteristics. When one identifies with a character such as a Devil it is empowering those traits in oneself and changes a person as they begin to surround themselves with these aspects and it grows exponentially make these traits more real. Evil is immortal simply because one cannot take this list of traits and eliminate them from the world. They are intertwined in mankind and nature and will exist forever. The creation of evil and darkness in art becomes simply an amalgamation of one's list of light and dark themes, thereby the creation of pure evil holds only to these traits. Unfortunately, masculinity tends to fall into the realm of darkness which sometimes gets confused in the draw. -Francis Blake, AA-Graphic Design/ Machining Metals
*Why do white people hate white people?* What is the trait you most associate with white people? Scamster, grifter, fraud, con artist, thief, new wealth, bad money, liar. Updating the world’s stereotypes are no easy task. It takes a swift pen backed by historical argument, like Dante’ or the Old Testament. Be warned! The lies of the wealthy eventually become an easy and seamless con which is what they intend. This is bigger than rural folks piling middleman wars into city rat piles or government contractors cashing in on wars.
The world is based on the animal perspectives of common men. What can I say? If it’s not false crowns it’s nerd technology. The common core is a failure. This is what happens when information gets in the wrong hands.
I am the confused cameraman, as you say. It was the upstairs main hall at the Crystal Ballroom. I recorded it in the small light room box, top right above the stage. Very small room, but just as dark from there. Saw Peter Hook & The Light last night (Astor, Perth 28/05/2024) and recorded it again. Much closer, brighter and better gear.
I took this Video in the small lighting room above the stage in the main hall of the Crystal Ballroom. The owner of the Crystal Ballroom, who also owned Missing Link Record shop in the city, had me also run a AV cable to the big screen downstairs. I believe this was the first time played and definitely the first time Blue Monday was recorded. Here I am, over 40 years later, and I recorded Peter Hook & The Light doing it again at the Astor Theatre in Perth (28/05/24).
I understand that Mr. Scott can't drive which is why he is always emerging from the car- hahah. But yes, coming here to watch Mr. S like everyone else!
The movie's alright. Thing for me is that Ian is portrayed as this sort of miserable, wimpy kind of character, always downbeat and distracted but when you hear or read Peter Hook, he always says that Ian was a good laugh, always upbeat and encouraging the others. So, which is the real story? Peter Hooks recollections, or Control? I'm going with Hooky, because he was there. That's why I say the movie's alright. It's not great, it's not bad, but it plays on cliches. I don't think it portrays the real Ian Curtis by a long shot.
The attention to detail in recreating a performance like this is insane. I actually have no idea how you would go and find people who played like this. You gonna ask a pro to play like they've just learned their instrument? Gonna ask an amateur to play like they're possessed by a spirit? It's impossible
