How sickening, although nothing new to my knowledge. Good video though, I'm not criticising it. I used to have a curiosity to go on such a tour, to see the bizarre place before the country implodes. I found it funny and still do in a sick but detached kind of way. However, we can be detached only outside of the place. The implosion that we used to wonder about isn't likely to come soon as the economic situation stabilises, relations with China are stable, mineral resources are developed and ties with Russia ramp up ( pushed together by the stupidity and arrogance of the western liberal establishment ). If you really want to see North Korea under this regime, there's no longer a time imperative to do it. If you do really want to do it. I wouldn't recommend it. I changed my mind about going for two reasons : 1) The real actual danger of landing in trouble. You don't even have to have done something wrong. It could be a situation between your home country and N.Korea suddenly makes you a pawn. You might do something by accident, be deemed to have shown disrespect, laughed at the wrong moment, or such like. One of your tour group may cause you to be in trouble. Being a citizen of the most powerful of outside countries won't stop them abusing you. We have seen that. Visiting is simply too dangerous. 2) The other reason is the risk to your chaperones and anyone else involved in conducting your tour. The consequences of anything going wrong could be really catastrophic for them and their family too. I wouldn't want that on me because of some kind of misunderstanding. Always thinking of that wouldn't be fun. Poor souls. So we may laugh at it sitting safe at home but with the sadness of the place and the real risk of something going wrong on the tour, I can't seeing this being fun in reality. That's how I changed my mind.
Why spend that amount of money just to go critizicing every single aspect of the country? It's stupid and boring, sounds like a Cold War propaganda video for American elementary chools.

Even when we can agree that North korean regime is not the kind you want to live under, Look at the audacity of imperialist stooge that is producing this so called documentary. The western imperialism is blockading the poor country in its worst form and preventing any development that may reach the shores . Western imperialism is the one primarily responsible for the inhumane environment that the people there is living. But they create an illusion and curse the effect rather than the cause. Anyway this situation id of early part of the century. As i can gather the situation is much better now a days.
