Well, I did Aida 2 five years ago. I managed to go to 16m deep four times but on every dive, EVERY dive, my contractions started around halfway on my way down already. This turned every dive into absolute horror. Contractions where very hard and frequent from the start. I hate it. Never again!
That’s very sad to hear, you might have had a bad instructor. When I am with students I talk with them about the problem and every time we find the problem and the solution. Give it another try, Freediving is beautiful. Relaxation is the key. Contractions are often the result of bad preparation, improper breathing technique and unnecessary bodytension. There is no depth goal. If you don’t feel comfortable, just don’t go as Deep. Start shallower and go step by step. You should have been told this. Anyway have a pleasant time. Cheers 🤙🏽
Agree with other comment - altogether poor safety and rescue processes. Check out how the diver is held when he is pulled the side. Wouldn't Isse this video clip if I was a business or organisation providing freedive training. Suggest this one is taken down.
