What about it’s ratings? Is it a low e1 low e2? How does it handle against heat and cold ? Up to what temperature? I hate people doing advertisement like this and doesn’t include the important info. Might as well don’t advertise at all.
I know this is old, but can these be fitted for mobile homes? I guess I'd call my home a trailer home or manufactured home for the PC people out there.
We just wshed our Tuscany double hung bathroom windows but I made a mistake and took out the bottom window. I then slid up the upper window and then reinstalled the bottom. Now the bottom window will not stay up by itself and the windows will not lock. How can I fix this?
Hi Dave. Very informative, thanks! Any thoughts on Trinsic V300? Particularly casement windows and large sliding doors. We’re doing new construction in OR high desert region (probably similar to your UT climate). Also I’m hearing Milgard product still great but service has declined… should we be concerned?
We have an existing older Anderson French door with right sideone being stationary, and the left one hinges on right opens in on lefts inside is light wood grains out is aluminum Ben but need white. We need to replace them. Can we replace with this type and keep all the frame as is?
If your door is a Milgard product, the blind unit has a 10 year warranty from the date of purchase. If you are still withing that time frame, I would suggest reaching out to Milgard to schedule the repair with them. 1-800-MILGARD
It's all a matter of personal preference. Inswing doors take up space inside the room when opened, so keep in mind what furniture might be affected by the doors opening. The same goes for outswing doors and any furniture you might have on the patio.
I’m looking for windows that are black on both exterior and interior. My local dealer seemed to think that was not offered in the Tuscany line. He said I would need to go with Trinsic. Is that really the case? I like the chunkier look of the Tuscany frame.
That is correct, black interior & exterior is only offered in the Trinsic series or the Milgard Ultra fiberglass series. Tuscany only offers painted exteriors.
I'm sorry you have had trouble with the window locks. I don't know what state you live in, but Milgard does have a warranty for thing like this. I suggest calling them at 1-800-MILGARD.
Another factor where fiberglass is probably superior to vinyl is fire resistance. Vinyl windows melt fairly easily, fiberglass will keep its integrity longer.
I don't live in Utah but you've really sold me on this product. Would I be able to order from the company who makes these and hire someone locally to install it?
No one in my building can get our new screens out. I watched this video, tried it, and barely got it to gap at the center, not budging holding as he did. Are there tricks to loosening the new ones so we can remove them?
My ultra fiberglass window colors have faded. Do I polish out or repaint? When the Millard rep came out he said fading of paint isn’t part of the warranty
Lifetime warranties on most things don't cover "wear and tear" or normal/expected degradation over time. Just manufacturing defects, unexpected failures, etc

You can get them on both sides. This is an example of what it would look like with both the pet door insert and the mini blinds, as the pet door insert does not come with the mini blinds inside of the glass.
