Love the video and the emotions after the shot. I have been there many times and definitely riding a high of adrenaline. Waianae Kai area it’s a really hard hike but worth it. Take a lot of water I recommend using onX hunt app and it will show you all public land that you can hunt.
Great solo video! Heading to Oahu next year and looking to do an archery hunt just like this and could definitely use some pointers on where to go essentially and likely plenty more to chat on. Epic work on the hunt, it’s a dream hunt and you captured it well.
Hey man I really appreciate it! It was one of the funniest hunts I’ve been on! That’s awesome, I hunted the Waianae area it’s open year round for rifle and archery you will need a exemption number and a non resident hunting license. I would apply for the exemption number way early sometimes it’s a lengthy process. And take a ton of water. That hike is killer! Feel free to ask more questions if you like.
Large GMA is closed, but there are others some accessible some landlocked. The ones with good goat hunting us closed. Email me if you like, we can chat and possibly hook up, I got couple private land areas could maybe take you. Aloha, Happy hunting.
Areas A and B are pretty landlocked, you need to sign a waiver with East Maui Irrigation and call for access to those areas. Really thick forested area, not an easy area to hunt. No goats..best bet would be to check if any public area is open then.
@@patrickacia5014 I see like a table of info online at the hawaii department for natural resources website. Seems like zone A is the only one where hunting is allowed at any time. Poli poli springs is off limits :/
Hey, yeah… Unfortunately the meat spoiled before we got home. It’s a long trek home and it’s tough to get everything to line up right to get it home still frozen.
