More interesting is the fact that after 854 years of the British Ascendancy Absentee Landlordism System in Ireland we still do not have basic Housing and Tenure Rights 'For All' enacted in the Constitution. In the Republic there is the 'Land and Property Rights' legislation act, enacted by FG in 1949 to benefit the 2.6% of the population which owns 90% of the Country's land mass. However, the great mass of the working class population still living under roofs owned by landlords, institutions, vulture funds and the State itself have NO BASIC RIGHT TO SHELTER AND SECURITY OF TENURE, after 100 years of FGFF sharing power between them. So the 'Big House' ideology of a privileged elite, 'farming' the great majority of workers as indentured tenant livestock is still the order of the day in 2024 Ireland. So the 'Big House' will always be a symbol of oppression, slavery and two tier social apartheid in Ireland.
Brilliant Bernard and you are an Autodidact like me . Obviously you have learnt to read the job requirements and have a massive natural ability. I hope you win .
I've seen a film of Margaret and she's a lovely soul , she proves that everything that's called important today is unnecessary and if all you're going to do is sit in front of the telly , you might as well go and help your neighbour whitewash his cottage or help in her garden . Bless Margaret for keeping a life of meaning . Angels shall sing her to her rest .
Best to Margaret Gallagher ! Saw an older video on her and her home a while back. This one is more recent. Well done. Thank you for the update. Hugs to you Margaret !!! From CT / USA
Marvellous Margaret! I would like to visit you in Ireland. I am Welsh and I live in Brittany. I can associate with your Lifestyle as it was the same for me in Wales. Edward Thomas.
What amovy lady. May God grant her wish to be able to live out her days in her beloved home . To be truly content with what you have is a great blessing.❤
What a very wise woman, she lives in the real world, if the electrical grid was to ever go down, and stay down, she'd have no notice of it, and just continues on.
There truly is no place like home. Margaret’s life epitomizes this to a tee. So pleased to see this update and hope Margaret continues to be happy and healthy. Blessings from America, dear Margaret.
I don't know a single American, on a personal level, that would be foolish enough to ask why you live there. Rather we would applaud you for valuing your history and history in general. They must have been ignorant, worldly tourist sorts.
