If you cut that loc it will lose its structure and fall apart.

I love it! Do you recommend braid locs for a flatter look and retaining length? I have them now (115 I did them) with the curly ends like yours. I don’t want the fluffy look. I’m afraid the two strand twist will cause shrinkage and I want to keep as much length as possible.

I’m confused how do these braids loc?

I find that I wear mine curly a lot because I don't like my ends. I started with twists and then interlocked, so they're not uniform as I would like. Just waiting for them to get long enough so I can cut them into the style I want.

This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. With the braid method, you don't have to interlock the roots? Is that only needed for the touch-up? And how long before a shampoo, conditioner, and touch-up is needed? Last question, is having the braid pattern compared to a two strand twist method just preference?

I usually side eye or tune out women who say small locs are more feminine. Black people still got a lot of work to do with changing their mindsets. Being feminine has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR OUTER. A true feminine women can be identified by her AURA, her ESSENCE, her CHARACTER, how she treats others, she usually doesn’t even curse, she is gentle, etc. So stop pushing your (that client) insecurity that smaller locs are MORE feminine. It;s just another way to divide the hair (loc) community. Also I paid $500 for my sisterlocs back in 2007, today’s prices are OUTRAGEOUS. But I took down my SL after that first retightening. I prefer thicker locs and I love seeing my new growth and don’t hide from it.
