My brand new one rattled like hell, had to add cloth tape in various places to stop the legs from rattling. I wouldn’t recommend the 45S based on my experience.
Hi can you still use a standard awning once the fiamma is fitted to the vamoose rail? Or can the standard awning be fitted to the fiamma in some way ? Thanks
The change in our van has made it so much better for us , lots of storage and space and the rib bed is so much better . Thank you for all your hard work and outstanding ! work as usual . Anyone needing anything doing on there van I highly recommend Cosmic Campervans a great service from start to finish ⭐️ Thank you .
Hi Darius, Biggest improvement in our camper was the pop up roof your team fitted last year, used it most weekends since, it was a game changer and has proven itself to be a quality item, as was the fitting.
This video is flipping great, thank you for posting it! I've just bought my first T5.1 (I talked to you by phone this week about windows). Does your course give a full explanation about how to actually fit furniture? Not the wiring etc but actually how to secure furniture to the van? It's the one bit I can't find any videos or tutorials on - not even forum chat! I thought I'd have to use timber battens but it looks like you don't do that in your vids. Thank you!
Hi Kerrie, Many kitchen manufacturers use different types of fixings, but the most popular and easiest to install would be the Campervan Furniture Corner Blocks & Caps, you can find them on google and many campervan parts supply websites. It's a module we will be adding to the course soon :) kind regards
Looks stunning ! Some food for thought, most that have the finances to buy one of these are more mature couples, (like me) most not been VW fanatics (not like me 😂) we all want ease of use, this van looks well specced but some are using base vans 🤦♂️ no no no, we have well specced cars and want our vans to have gadgets ! Next it must have a sliding bed, I don’t want day trips with guests sat 10ft away unable to engage in conversations ! Also slide it forward and stash camping gear safely behind the seat without lashings of bungee cord! (I won’t buy a van without this it’s so important) next why do all builders fit massive sinks and double hob combos 🤷♂️ one ring and a small sink is plenty for us, we can cook on one ring, eat out and get meal deals, I am on holiday I am not slaving over a stove, then having loads of washing up to do! I want work top space for my gadgets, water bottle, watch, wallet, etc while I am in bed at night. Then there’s the lack of doors around wheels arches, how long do you think our arms are ! Give us more doors ! Every van should have solar power most will use electric hook up so why not a low wattage electric hob ? (Good Solar & battery will give some cooking capability with inverter) (Not having a go at your van it looks amazing but feel builders need to think more practically)
Hi Greg, When I speak about an awning on this video, I intend an erectable awning like a tent, that is attached to an awning rail on the side of your van. You can also get the awnings in a solid case, which are more of sun shade too, and they are fitted permanently on the side of the van, but I wouldn't put this in my top 5. Kind regards :)
Completely agree! All 5 of those items are essential! The variations of rooftop beds you offer can suit all of the different customer preferences and needs too! Looking forward to more content on the Campervan Academy too! ☝🏼🙏🏼
How much is this fitted ? I know you say in the video but it’s 2years old. So how much fitted now. Also where are you based and what’s your current lead time on pop tops.
Hi, I am keen to get a VW Crafter…. Most of these are 2 birth and I would like to get a pop top roof added. I don’t have the luxury of time, so I am going to buy an already converted crafter with a view to adding a pop top. In essence, I am looking to do just what you have done on this Transporter… is there anything that I need to consider? Is it something that you could help with? I am happy to make contact with you directly if that helps… I am just testing the water. Thanks… very interesting and well made video.
