I feel like she was building this beautiful structure, and then "Dad" got involved briefly (when there were two of them at the same time) and brought some plastic and then she came back and thought, wtf. Just kidding, lol.

What i don't understand is we had a robin build a huge nest under our umbrella. There's a huge gap in between the dividers. So, how did she get this massive nest to stick on to it ?

Been watching a Robin building a nest for weeks ( wind keeps blowing it away) finally got a few days of calm weather and she is to this stage. She was doing a little shimmy and I came here to see what it was. Thank s😀😀

*I owned one of these for many years. This one was for my daughter. It will do a great job on powder snow>>>**ur2.pl/1009** however deep, as long as you stay ahead of it. Very reliable and well built. Since it is electric It also eliminates any starting issues or the need to store gasoline. The downside is heavy, wet snow.*

I put a GoPro pointed at a Robin's nest on the side of my house for about 30 minutes. I was amazed how many times the mom and dad visited to feed the baby birds. They eat all the time! As you can see in my video mites and ants are giving the chicks a hard time. Is there anything I can do to help them without hurting them?

Wow I love where your birds build their nest! They are just so creative. I have my first birds nest built inside of my overhang to my back porch. It is truly amazing to watch them. I love when the mama comes by, and they start chirping really loud. For a while I thought it was A whistling sound coming from my air-conditioner thinking that it was broken in someway LOL only to find out that it was a bunch of baby birds chirping, not a whistling sound. This is a great video thank you so much for sharing.

thegdoat1YESSS!! I have been searching for videos of that BC I am so mindblown as to how birds build a nest and get it to stay together so well. like how do the first sticks stay together?! lol. and to think they do this with just a beak. it is really fascinating to me

imah domeboo Exactly!!! I saw an Osprey's nest on a sign pole in the middle of a highway. It's a huge nest. But I'd love to see how, and where the first stick is laid. It's amamzing to me!!!

just the other day I was outside watching the birds, and that's when I REALLLLYYY started to think about it all. To think they start with just stick by stick, have to keep flying down to go get each one, and weave them together. I can see after it is almost done how it would be easy to keep adding to it, but seriously how do they get like the first ones to hold together?! I couldn't even do that with both of my hands. I NEED ANSWERS!!! lol. nature and animal instinct is absolutely amazing

How did the mud get there? Did he transport it with his feet?
@agzmusic5967
@agzmusic5967 7 лет назад
No, the robin usually waits for a heavy rain to arrive, the scoops a beak full of mud from worm castings or simply a wet area. She then makes several hundreds of trips back and forth collecting mud and shaping it to the nest and waits for it to dry. Sorry this reply was kinda late...

last night I saw a rope hanging down a tall shrub so I grabbed it and a mama Robin flew out chirping at me. It was weaved in her nest! I felt horrible. she came back after a while and is currently keeping her eggs warm. I snuck a peek from my porch :) 4 eggs!

Dirt bikes and now on to the mountain bike, I love it. I'm 57, still ride the KDX 200 and now the YZ250 through the woods. Do a local harescramble once in a while for fun. Train a lot on road and mountain bikes too. We're lucky to have mega miles of lesser traveled back country 2 lane roads and several really sweet mtn bike parks through S.W. MO and N.W. AR. All good fun. :)
