Miguel's Pizza is classic and they have cheap camp bedrooms if you're not into camping. If you want to avoid the noise, Hemlock Lodge has alright rooms/cottages.
Everyone hates the annoying noise, it disrupts people and nature. Like bringing a boombox to the crag. But besides that if there’s an idiot drone pilot it could crash and hurt someone.
I can’t say I’m super experienced with everything else on the market. But as far as I know, Skydio is pretty unparalleled in its object avoidance and self flying capabilities. Haha every time I use it it feels like magic
@@jaymagiera lol you can see how stoked you are when it follows you through the canopy ^_^ do you use it with the Beacon, or do you have to climb with your phone in your pocket?
@@ivansokol9299 Haha yeah! First time using it.. couldn't believe it was able to do that on its own. Beacon is garbage for this and risks disconnecting when under the cliff line. You also don't need extended range since your phone is always staying in a close proximity. I have a chalk bag with a zipper pocket and put the phone in a case attached to a lanyard attached to the chalk bag for an extra layer of safety.
I will say I got on this route last fall and it was quite underwhelming... close to miguels and a nice positon for sure, but the climbing really left something to be desired. Many many better routes in the red!!!
@@Keglerradio if you need to shoot a commercial, ask the rrgcc for a drone permit. The information is on their website and every kiosk in every rrgcc parking lot. Otherwise, stop making it harder for the unpaid volunteers who keep these places running.
@@themeatpopsicleall those things still apply even if you get a permit, but the RRGCC doesn’t mind giving out permits to a huge company willing to “donate” thousands. It’s bureaucratic bullshit put in place to force people to line the coalitions pockets. They don’t need more money, they need more man power.
Nice videos you have out here! Your climbing style is pretty similar to mine. I Climbed this route April, 20th 2014 - the name makes it a must :). The route is really hard for 5.11a. I onsighted "She might be a liar" 5.11b the same day, but "the dude" took me three goes...
@@LongBoy.0 if you’re offended by a drone, you’re the one with issues not me. Blindly following rules is what started ww2 and created the Covid chaos. If you want to give me one reasonable explanation this guy shouldn’t film himself climbing with a drone I will stop jaywalking across streets forever.
@@Rafungilo at this crag its not much of an issue, but at popular crags its a really good way to get everyone to dislike you very quickly. imagine tryng your project and theres some goon going around with a drone buzzing everywhere. its plain annoying
I was watching this thinking man that looks a lot like jay who sells crystals. Then I realized it is Jay who sells crystals haha. It's Dylan from the red last fall
Ive only ever done indoor but this looks about my level and id love to try a long endurance run like this. Might get some of my friends together and head up and try this route
